There's a server (i think it's still up) called Avanic that uses this (it's deathrun too.) I got addicted until it shut down for updates for awhile. Might be back up, might be dead, idk. It will get players to stay and have a goal, which in my book is a good thing.

 

I think it would give more of an incentive for players to actually try.
Plus it sounds fun.

This would really give deathrun more of a purpose and give people a much better incentive to actually play longer. Also added to this a perk system maybe? Gives us something to spend our points on.
