I mean Classical was staff and it took forever to find out he was hacking, he was chill all the way through. Rice and chicken only got caught by Opal never really gloated over his performance. And hell, @daniel been getting away with it for so long without ever really gloating <3
Yeah it's said a lot that "They suck so much they have to cheat" Which yeah, maybe part of the problem is that, but it's mainly just being bored as fuck and not really giving a shite anymore about the game. It's kinda like "People get so mad/ annoyed over me hacking.. Perfect.. Attention here I come" I mean a couple people here even said that ooF, "I can annoy people for a while" "it's interesting to see what kind of things you can break/alter in what way to cause some resulting advantage" Meh, people get bored. They wanna see how it feels to annoy people and fuck with them.
I have a hacking ban, and agree to this. I didn't cheat because I was bad at the game - I was actually pretty good. I was bored, and wanted to fuck about, especially considering I had an IRL friend on with me.
Okay here's one, back in the day there was a game called AVP2 which was just the most awesome fucking multiplayer game about, but the Sierra servers shut down an age ago. I used a hex editor to find the value in which the alien wallcrawl would turn on, I found it and then turned myself into a human and got myself the minigun and happily sat on the ceiling shooting people. I never used godmode or anything, but sometimes I'd like to turn myself into a facehugger in gamemodes which didn't have it. xD So many good times.
Well, i have hacked once or twice (i'm kidding i've hacked for for years). Game: GTA SAMP Most used hack on the server: sniper aimbot (back then it was special to have a hack for your sniper) Hacit i used: expander of view and aimbot Why? Everybody did it. But the admins were to lazy and corrupt to do anything about it and banned people that hacked in self defense and kept the ones that hacked just to have a better standing in the game. Sadly the hacking evidence was nothing more then logs as spectating was not a thing back then. To show you how good the hack was: the person shooting with the sniper was not in your sight of view but a almost the double of your view and the aimbot could kill 5-10 people before you could even find tthe shooter. What happened to the server? It got down-hill real fast after a lot of regulars got banned for hacking. Then only the vip's were left and they quit due to a low populated populated server. Hacking was only made able to do by a fixed hitbox update. This was the destruction of SAMP as we knew it.
I hacked to fuck with people and thats hella fun. Just always use cheats that are simple like ESP/Wall hacks and if their well coded.
by pissing them off, sometimes ill play hella blatant n wallbang people and shit but only shoot at their toes or smth n let them kill me just to see their reactions lmao there's also always the blatant hackers who REFUSE to admit they're cheating n it's always fun to make em lose n complain
I hacked like around 2010, before i had steam cuz it kinda just felt like doing something sick what would be impossible for any human but i was a kid so eventually I grew up, my personality changed and i began to respect the sick plays that are done legit. I've always like highlights and shit like that but after getting a bit more mature, i realized that hacking is so effortless its just stupid. how about you actually are good instead of having a program making you being good
I don't hack, but in any game, I like to see how many features, tricks, etc I can use to push myself, and to see just how much I can do using what I've been given in the game. I imagine the non-counter/non-attention-seeking hackers to be doing the same but are willing to see just how far the can push with anything at their disposal. There's a thrill to finding how you can get a slight advantage (mostly) unbeknownst to those around you, even if you never use it again. As an example: you'll see in any vid of mine low sensitivity and the in-game hl2 radial crosshair thingy cause it's a part of the game that gives me a minuscule benefit when it comes to judging aim and movement.
although not technically a hack, but everytime a major update comes in TF2, I try to find bugs to exploit, and some of them are quite devastating
Let me explain a little about why I hacked and why I kept it secret. Way back when I started playing on SGM I noticed a whole bunch of people cheating in game with impunity, I suggested at the time (around when I first started becoming a mod) installing an anti-cheat script of some kind. The admins and Highwon at the time said that the moderation team doesn't need the extra help from a script. And so started my slow journey to the dark side. Of course this is only part of the story, as to how I got caught, well I was getting far too cocky in the way I played. Especially goading Pacifist was a bad idea, I knew eventually I would be found out since he and others would start gathering evidence without talking about it to the greater community. This is not to say I did this purely for altruistic reasons. I was quite fun messing around with people, and yes I was bored at the time with TTT in general. My original plan to showcase the flaws in the ways hackers were detected at the time did bring fruit however. Since that time there have been many tools for the admins and mods to use to combat hacking. If you have any questions as to why or how I did this for years, feel free to ask.
For the most part you could have gotten away with it for much longer had you not gotten cocky. You were pretty much just like Biohazard, super chill and good enough to the point no one would question your ability. This took quite a while though given how long you've been gone, which is a bit disappointing. I'm more curious as to what you think about the Opalium vs Rice and Chicken case if you've came across it. You more or less explained why and I don't think it matters how at this point. Regardless was fun playing with you when I first joined SGM. Take care man.
