I know a lot of people in the situation of your parents. At first they're shitting on him for being a bad character, but once they got a taste of the good economy, lowest black unemployment rate ever, trade deals with NK, etc. they started saying he ain't all that bad.
Economy was already on the rise(he’s lucky to have inherited a good one) Tariffs are making things more expensive, a bag of chips is actually going to be 2 dollars pretty soon.

Not to mention the impact it'll have on electronics and appliances. Most of the parts used for them are manufactured in China so the tariffs are going to probably end up causing the prices of all of the above to go up. The Tariffs towards Mexico though are probably going to hurt automakers and farmers. The latter are already feeling the pain not only from the tariffs but some of the farmers in the Midwest are already in deep water because of the nasty weather and flooding that has been tearing through the region.
