Sir Lemoncakes is the traitor!

    Okay this is all blown out of proportion and I think we all need to take a step back.

    Snak, when you asked me about the photo and told me what Lemoncakes told you, I was busy so I didn't have time to give it much thought so I told you to listen to Lemoncakes. After all, in the staff etiquette I specify "If a superior asks you to change your spray, please do.". I do remember telling you I don't see a problem with the picture however at the time I was busy to think of the bigger picture.

    Lemoncakes in this matter is thinking of the bigger picture. Sure, there is nothing wrong with the photo by itself if there was no context to it. However if you look at it in the context that it is a photo of a pornstar (or ex-pornstar rather) then it could be taken in many different ways by our community. It doesn't have to necessarily be the player himself being offended (however some might). We have many younger players who have parents that might monitor their activities on the computer. What if you have a kid who is 12 and his mom checks his steam groups and sees that one of our administrators has a picture of an ex-pornstar? Instantly our community will be associated with that kind of behavior and that is something we want to avoid. This is why we restrict the staff from having questionable sprays because they are representatives of our server.

    Again, that example is just one of the many bigger picture things we as admins & representatives of our server have to take into mind. I'm pretty sure Lemoncakes has nothing against you or the woman in the spray but he has the best interest of the server in mind. When it comes to something questionable like this, its just better to stay away from it.

    I believe you should have took this up in the staff forums to be discussed instead of being quick on resigning and exercised better judgement in this matter.

    While I feel that Lemon does have a point, he could have handled the situation better.

    I'm sorry for the thread and the drama it has caused but I do not see her as an ex porn star I saw her as a girl I had a little crush on and I was being asked to change it for no reason. I'm sorry you believe that his decision was right. You may lock the thread.

    Keep the topic unlocked for now. Let the community discuss the issue at hand. Just keep it civil.

    The issue here isn't what Lemoncakes did, the issue is one of our administrators using a pornstars picture (non-nude) as his avatar.

    I agree that the picture was "okay", but sir lemoncakes has the discretionary power to choose whats right an wrong.

    I have no problem with your personal feelings/opinions of her. I'm just concerned about the image of our community and how we represent ourselves. Porn is considered taboo by the general public even though its a highly profitable business.

    I understand if that was the case here and I did have a pornographic image, but I did not, and no where does it say anything about being a porn star unless you actually google the image and research but I'm sure you could find something odd about everyones picture. Either way this is absurd as I had no such pornographic imagery and I am not going to argue with you Highwon as I have high respect for you but theres nothing to discuss the thread can be locked.

    Okay I'll post an example. For people that don't know the following person I'm posting, its just an average guy with a funky mustache, nothing else right? Wrong. Many people would get offended by this photo.

    I know this is taking it to the extreme but understand that certain people can take offense to things that might look innocent without any context.

    I think it's wrong for us to try and make porn or pornstars in general negative. As a people, not us specifically. I think the way this was blown up sucks, I don't know the circumstances of how Lemoncakes brought this up, but I'd never change my picture if it was appropriate. No matter who asked me to. It's my picture, and it's a human being. Because if I put a picture of Ted Bundy up, no one would give a crap, but he was a rapist, murderer, cannibal, among other things. But don't appropriate ourselves with porn.

    Yes but when you see a picture of hitler not many people see him with any good qualities or anything good to say about him,Comparing Hitler to some girl in porn is on different spectres, but sure I guess I could what you mean but I did not want people to think I was promoting porn I simply wanted to show that there is different sides to every person, regardless of what they do. In this case judging someone on what they did for part of there life does not make sense to me. And I was unaware of this rule but I don't see how this is differnet then me saying I don't want to see a picture of someone because there ugly or fat or stupid that would beconsidered completely unacceptable but right now whats going on is your saying it is acceptable.

    Right but that is a matter of opinion. Some say Hitler's work was offensive and some will say Sasha Grey's work was offensive. Its up to us as representatives to decide how we are going to represent the server (in what light per say).
