I don't like competition, so I'll share my ultimate strategy. I'm afraid this does not work when you're at the first world, since there are no sponges/jellyfish and clams. Step 1 - Well... get past the first world. Choose an artifact you want (if you can buy one or even IF you want one) and choose another world. Step 2 - Start the world like you would do. Contract as many Rays/Sharks/Crabs as you want. They don't matter much for the strategy, just on early game. Step 3 - Unlock the Laboratory and get Crystal Containers. Other Upgrades are optional Step 4 - Get Seabed Geology. Step 5 - Get Sponge Collection/Jellyfish Hunting and Clam Scooping Step 6 - Get Agriculture then Xenobiology Step 7 - Get Thermal Vents and Transmutation OPTIONAL STEP - Get Laser Rays to speed up your crystal collection Step 8 - Get Pearl Conversion and Automation Step 9 - Get the Recycler. This is where the strat starts for real. Step 10.1 - Go to the "Recycler" tab and click "Eat Max". Step 10.2 - Recycle all your crystals. Click "Eat 1/3 Max" and make clams. Click "Eat Max" and make jellyfish/sponge. Step 10.3 - Go back to Ocean, click processing. Dismantle all your Jellyfish/Dissect all your Sponge with "Buy Max" and Convert all of your Clams into Crystals. Step 10.4 - Go back to the Recycler, recycle all your crystals, but this time instead of "Eating 1/3 Max" of clams, you click on Jellyfish/Sponge and get max clams. Step 10.5 - Repeat Step 10.3 and once you do that, Repeat 10.2 to 10.4 all over again until you get as much crystals as you want and get through the gate. Thanks for reading my strategy!
