Tournament Schedule​

Hello all chess players! I have decided to create the schedule for the tournament so that everyone is on the same page with what dates that are required for, and the length of the tournament itself.

In short, every week is a new round in the tournament, which you will be required to play one match against a single opponent. You will get five days to complete your match – Monday through until Friday each week.

Because of the duration of the tournament and the time allocated for each match, the tournament will not finish until mid-February next year. If this changes your ability to participate please let me know.

Please note that over the Christmas and New Year’s week there will not be any matches; which has been included in the schedule below.

12th – 16th of December

19th – 23rd of December
Round 3

*No Round during Christmas break – 25th of December to the 1st of January, 2017*

2nd – 6th of January, 2017
Round 4

9th – 13th of January
Round 5

16th – 20th of January
Round 6

23rd – 27th of January
Round 7

30th of January – 3rd of February
Round 8

6th – 10th of February
Round 9

13th – 17th of February
Round 10

20th – 24th of February
Reserved for Grand Final if highest scorers are tied​

The signup period technically is meant to be ending in just a little over two hours - however, I will be extending it so that you instead have another 24 hours from now to get your names in if you haven't already.

If your name is not on the above list but you would like to enter, please let me know as soon as possible! Furthermore, if you're name is on that list but you feel it is an error, or you cannot compete any longer in the tournament, please let me know as soon as you can so I can.

Round 1 Matches

Your matches for the first round of the chess tournament have been messaged to you all!

You will need to discuss with your opponent what day and time suits you both, after the match, please provide me the result and the link for my review.

Remember, please use the website Lichess to play your game, with the time set to 30 minutes with increment of 15 seconds.

I will expect your result and the link to the match in our private conversation by no later than 7pm PST time, Friday the 9th of December.
