I would have been on your side if it weren't for this bit of your post. One of the reasons I've always had so much respect for you and the community was that everyone was innocent until proven guilty, regardless of rank. All staff were told to gather evidence when handling rule breakers and all players making reports were required to provide evidence. Nobody ever had to worry about someone making up stories about them because it wouldn't be taken seriously without proof.

Now look at what you just said. You demoted and banned Temar and you admit you aren't 100% sure he was even involved. I'd understand if you demoted him for being careless with his account and banned him until the situation was resolved, but you just admitted that wasn't the reason.

I've stuck with the community through a lot. I supported the community through Zabiba's demotion, the skype ban, 1/11, and more. I stuck with the community because I trusted the management. When I see you ignore one of the core ideals you founded this community on purely out of rage and spite towards a banned player I can't support you anymore. It's ok to have a temper. You're human, you aren't perfect, I get it. But if you let your temper get in the way of how you run the community then it becomes a problem (Want some pancakes Highwon?). I get that you're mad whenever someone leaks/turns toxic/whatever, but you take your anger towards those players way too far. You should just COI them and move on with your life if it happens.

How am I supposed to trust you anymore if you're going to punish someone when you admit it's based on not having evidence to prove their innocence? Honestly I think it's insane for someone to give their login info away like that. What would Temar even have to gain from doing that? I'll admit I'm biased since I don't have as much information as you, but I honestly can't see any staff member willingly giving their account away without some strong obvious reason like what Vodka did a long time ago. If you're going to base this accusation on not being able to prove Temar's innocence then I can't support you any more.

I hope you take this post seriously and don't just brush it off as me being mad that my former admin got demoted. I'm making this post because I can't stand seeing you go against one of the core ideals this server has had since the beginning. I'm not just gonna stand by and watch you make these accusations when you're admitting you aren't absolutely sure they're true.

 

While I do appreciate what you do, it'd be nice if you were more transparent with the community like for example with the opalbot replacement you just approved the idea without saying "alright so opalbot was prone to crashing and i couldn't just rewrite the code because ..."

 

Shared account info with person who used account to leak information, you should NEVER share your account especially if you have a set of privileges that can be abused.

Let's not derail the thread anymore, Noob, you did your job sub par, but at least you stuck around and kept things moving with your team and staff. Goodluck with your future endeavors and thank you.

I think that this is an all-around well-written post with good arguments, but can we just talk about how gay it is that Highwon's posts always get a billion positive ratings when the same post by another person wouldn't get them? I mean, let's be real. At least some of you are blinded by who wrote a post instead of concentrating on its message.

Yes. I think the law-term for this is negligence. If you're drunk and you drive, you are responsible for any damage or pain you cause. It doesn't matter if you didn't do it on purpose.
