    Actually, it's got good defense/special defense and halfway decent HP. Good defender kind of like Rhyperior.

    This is a pretty late response, but my team for the Elite Four the first time around was as followed (for Pokemon Yellow anyways)

    Pikachu (Don't know why, but I liked using him)
    Snorlax
    Charizard
    Nidoking
    Pidgeot
    Gyarados

    I forget the rest of the teams I used for the Elite Four for Pokemon SIlver and Emerald. x.x
