The "this is sparta" meme has been going on, and used a lot more than the "oh baby a triple meme" has. Unless you're rejecting both the present standard and possible future alternative, your argument against it doesn't really prove that the current is a better option in any way. Although, if you are in fact rejecting both ideas, why not suggest your own idea instead of being a "negative nancy"?

If high pitched voices are giving you headaches, there's most likely bigger issues at hand here. Really tired of all this "he has a high pitched voice so he's a dumb annoying squeaker who shouldn't be allowed to talk", crap.

I'm going to look at this like how I looked at people with high pitched voices while I was mod, by

treating them the same as everyone else, regardless of the pitch of their voice

If someone is saying incredibly immature, stupid (using these as examples as this is what I generally hear as complaints towards younger people/people with higher voices), then it is a problem with me; likewise, if they're screaming into their mic, it's an issue. Believe it or not, though, you know who ended up being more immature, stupid, or tended to scream into their mic? The older guys. People MY age. Whereas regulars who were younger or had higher voices like Stabby Puggy were often completely mature, didn't mic spam or scream, and got complained about for having higher voices (last I checked he stopped using his mic completely, which better have not been because people got on his ass about his voice, as that would really piss me off).

So if you, or anyone else's argument against someone is because of their higher voice (or that they're younger), you gotta check yourself. This has a little less to do with the sample itself than it has to do with a general poor attitude that I've witnessed on STTT for my year here. If they're not saying anything, or doing anything to be annoying (aside from how their voice naturally is, if that's really a problem to you), then you (and anyone who follows this ideology that younger/higher voiced persons are naturally annoying and don't deserve basic human rights) should really just leave them be and drop their age/voice as an argument against them, and perhaps pick up negative aspects on their actual character and personality. Like for instance, if you think they're being immature or annoying and it's really bothering you, then use the immature/annoying things they're doing as focal points on your "You're immature and annoying" argument. Instead of, you know, their voice/age (as that in itself is an incredibly immature and annoying argument to make).

In this case, however, I don't see how the voice sample is annoying. Pretty funny to me. Also, as for your argument on "Just because it says triple doesn't make it relevant to throwing 3 harpoons, but because it's about harpoons it is relevant to spears (Spears. SPEARS. SPEARS), and therefor also relevant to "THIS IS SPARRRTAA" - a quote from a movie in which the characters sometimes use spears, but the quote is actually from a scene involving kicking, and not spears" - paraphrased extremely, but you get the point - then I wouldn't agree with you on the 300 clip being more relevant, but here's how we CAN MAKE IT MORE RELEVANT (and all of you defending this shitty standard of an audio sample are going to love this): Since the actual audio sample has nothing to do with throwing THREE harpoons (spears) at once, why don't we make it so that it plays EVERY. TIME. YOU THROW. A HARPOON (spear). Already more relevant than the current situation if your argument is indeed what I paraphrased, isn't it? But then you may be thinking, "but Drunk Dog, what will we do when they throw 3 harpoons?", well, we could then add a, you know, sample that is relevant for the three, and funny, but FUCK THAT SHIT, I think we should just have the "THIS IS SPARRTTAAA" sample play THREE MOTHERFUCKING TIMES AT ONCE (which with all satire aside, that is honest to god what the current loud blast of audio it produces sounds like. 3 times louder than it should be already).

So now we've got a good fix for the problem, I think. Instead of listening to some dumb annoying kid (because he has a high voice) say a few words, let's have the same current sample of someone with a deeper voice yell some shit very loudly, as that's totally acceptable considering the fact that he doesn't have a high voice. Please god let sarcasm meter not be broken, and have joke laughed at rather than taken seriously and become the new standard for these poor fools.

Anyways, it's a definite +1 for me (if I didn't already make myself clear on that/if my vote even counts for anything). Sorry for ragging on you a little Robo baby (britches rustled), I'm lead by a strong moral compass (surprisingly, right?). Keep Vanilla safe for me, baby, and keep asinine ageist remarks out of it.
