If it doesn't cause too many problems, I'm all for this. New and innovative detective items are just what we need and this could very well be just that.

Hell yea I can get behind this one, it sounds extremely simple and like why is this not a thing yet? You guys all ready took away the one good thing about being detective. +1 from me

 

Movement speed is big in source games, i love the idea of this but do think it should have some kind of little draw back to it. Perhaps grant the speed bonus for a trade off that your max health is set to 75-80.

Nah, then you'd have to switch back to your weapon if someone attacks you.
Even though that doesn't take much time, I imagine it must feel pretty bad mechanic-wise.
That would be too much of a nerf.

I'd rather have it so that you can't shoot unless you stand still for a sec or cancel the effect in some other way. (with your weapon out)
