I found it to be quite funny. You are lying if you try and deny that Leslie Jones is a very broadly featured individual. Objectively, she does have similar features to a man. Is it rude? Yes. Tasteless? Depends on your sense of humor. Again, this humor is subjective. Call it what you want, but it isn't racist. And I would barely call it sexist. She didn't like it. Fine. Most people don't like jokes made at their expense. That joke was also made at Milo's own expense. I would also like to know why you see it as sexist. It involves gender, but why does that inherently make it sexist?
Let me put something into context for you: CNN has interviewed dictators that committed actual war crimes. KKK leaders. But they banned Milo. I want to know what you think Milo has actually done wrong. People treat him like the devil, but when I can actually get people to say something he has done wrong, I hear about Leslie Jones or his talk on Pedohilia, which is taken completely out of context and misrepresented 90% of the time
lol dude. I get annoyed when people are so full of shit that they insult people when they are caught spouting said shit, but I am truly fascinated by Milo and people's opinions of him
Just want to state real quickly before things get out of hand. Controversial topics, and discussions about people who are controversial are allowed. Lets not pull in those that have clearly stated they don't want to be involved in the conversation, and lets keep the conversation civil without any direct, or even back handed insults flinging around. If we can't keep it civil, we'll just end the conversation. Remember- our first forum rule is to be respectful for one another here.
There. Deleted any comment or callout of the individual. I am much more interested in an actual discussion than baseless accusations.
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...opoulos-resigns-breitbart-pedophilia-comments Note I think the source is shit, it's just the first thing that came up in Google. The whole harrassment of that one actress is what people often bring up, but it was his pretty much out and out condoning of pedophilia (which he at best vaguely refuted) which is really what hurt his reputation by those who aren't just twitter obsessed people. Whether it's worthy of condemnation or not is irrelevant to me, as the question is why people hate him, not on my opinion of him (which is pretty much the same as I view most clickbait "controversial" people/celebrities, ie, not worth my time to form an opinion). PS I think it's important to note, many people also assume from his comments regarding this that he himself is a pedophile, when it's pretty clear from even the deliberately misleadingly edits that he more likely speaking from experience of being the younger man; however as ever people read what they want to read - so "Breitbart editor resigns for pedophilia comments" = "Breitbart editor is a pedophile" to many minds. EDIT: Side note, I personally find it funny twitter banned him for harrassment, when so many people in the public eye do the exact same, from all political wings.
I actually sort of like the clickbait nature of Milo, if only because it's clickbait with actual substance. It's why I don't condemn him for the comments he makes about Leslie Jones being a man, because he is doing it to get attention to the topic, or related topics (Clickbait for the sake of discussion rather than for the sake of views, basically)
CNN is mostly watched by people who lean left, so having Milo on doesn't benefit CNN at all. I think one of the big reasons for news networks starting to focus so much more on politics is because they have to fight with the internet. Most people get their news from Facebook, and so CNN needs to fight to keep people watching them. How do they do that? They appeal to the audience that watches them, and the people who watch them are mostly left leaning. It is just good business. Also, can you give a source to back up the "Milo is banned from CNN"? because I couldn't find anything on it.
A British Newsman mentioned it during an interview with Milo, when they were trying to figure out how to schedule an in-person conference and found CNN had barred Milo entry. I want to say he was part of the BBC, but I can't remember for sure. I'll try and find the video, but it might take a few days. Banned might not be the correct word, but they refuse to interview him or allow him in any of their studios or affiliate studios. There is a chance I am mixing up the BBC with another organization, though.
Oh. lol. I forgot youtube had its own history. Here's the video Totally didn't get any of those details wrong. Nope.
Milo is a Right-Wing activist who uses inflammatory statements and generally spits in the face of PC culture to discuss modern topics. He is often slandered by the left-wing media and is generally avoided by the right, as his views are an odd hybrid of both.
