You're telling us to "just fix" this problem. If there was a sure fire way to get rid of every loophole in our rules don't you think we would have implemented it by now? I don't know where you got the idea that we as a Staff Team are ignoring holes in our rules just because we are too lazy to fix them. If you know of a way to eliminate these loopholes then come forward and say so, because complaining about getting RDM'd in a suggestions thread will get you absolutely nowhere. And as for you, I don't know why you choose to think that every Staff Member on this server is out to loophole the rules we volunteered to uphold. We take our positions very seriously and try to find happy mediums in basic human error and our rules, the 5 second grace period being one of them. We are very open to hearing actual suggestions on how to reduce the amount of loopholing that occurs on our servers. But, that is not what's happening here. In it's current state this seems like a Staff Bashing thread more than anything. So please, let's discuss actual suggestions and try to be reasonable in viewing our ruleset and Staff Mentality.
Thing is not everyone has the hardware capabilities to record while running a game, especially in G-Mod.
Never heard of demos, quick google search agrees with your point. I'm at fault, I just usually record with xsplit, and that doesn't work well together with lower grade hardware.
They're very helpful when recording important gameplay so I would think they'd get some more attention. Hopefully this will point a few people in the right direction. They're simple to use by the way. In the case whatever you found didn't have this info, you can just type "record <name>" into console to start recording a demo and "stop" to stop recording. You can use "playdemo <name>" to play a demo that you've recorded previously.
As a additional point, though already stated, demos can be used to see more then what is within your view point at the moment, and may be superior to recordings from other forms of software in the case of identifying RDM. In further addition, I believe you can bind at least stop to a button, not sure how you'd go about that or how to bind record name, though. I should do both, as I've every so often been subject to similar issues that the OP has mentioned.
