Banning the bump stock would be a good starts

While I don't really see the need for a majority of gun owners to own a bump stock. Could you explain to me why this would help anything? So far, bump stocks have been used in a single mass shooting. And, according to many experts, may have actually made his rampage less deadly.

Sure am, lad. What I am implying when I say what I did is that nothing he has suggested is a relevant or viable solution.

It's not so hard to take it steps at a time for example with the Vegas shooter he turned a semi auto weapon into an auto weapon with an available mod to guns to allow that and remove all automatic weapons from the public there's no need for them

just take baby steps with back ground checks like ok if it's gonna be a hassle for a regular normal person who wants a gun for safety vs. someone who does have a basic front view clean back ground check with shady social media business or whatever then take the extra step with the background checks considering the kid was doing shady stuff on instagram since 2015 but he was legally allowed to get guns like you can't be serious even the FBI was too tired to deal with an actual factual report to them about that same guy 5 months prior to the shooting the best they did was interview the guy who reported him to the FBI and was like "well we've got nothing we dont know anything about this guy at all it's all over it's not like we're the FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION WHICH DOES EXTENSIVE INTELLIGENCE GATHERING FOR A LIVING." If it's made to be such a hassle to get a gun with some bill reform then thank god it is if it helps prevent another mass shooting.

There's small tiny steps that can lead to overall improvement over time so instead of just sitting back and saying "We have the 2nd amendment we cant really touch how our guns work these shootings are just... apart of living in america it's your fault for not fighting back with a gun." We dont have to get rid of every single gun out there. But we can't expect other people to have a gun to defend themselves. THE EVENTS AND THE SCHOOLS THAT HAVE THESE SHOOTINGS ARE DEVOID OF ANY WAY TO FIGHT BACK BECAUSE YOU DONT BRING WEAPONS TO THESE PLACES. So much f***ing progress being made giving americans their god given right to defend themselves eh?

I'm just gonna number my points here as I read your paragraphs, so it's easier for me to respond:

1: Automatic weapons have never been used in any mass shooting in the United States. At least not a legally owned fully automatic or burst file M4/etc automatic weapon.
2: Bump fire stocks have only been used in a single mass shooting in the United States. Several experts actually agree that a bump fire stock may have decreased the deadliness of this attack. That point aside, I personally do not believe gun owners need bump stocks. But, a knee jerk reaction to a single event, banning bump stocks for everyone really seems over the top to me.
3: Background checks should be more extensive.
4: According to this, you would be okay with armed security at a school, correct?

If a bump stock is what can make a semi into an auto then they've been used in a mass shooting. Bump stocks again if they can make a semi into an auto why have them we dont need to have Automatic-esque weapons. Background checks should take ages to complete for a thorough investigation. Any trustworthy person who is legally documented as law enforcement or things of that like should have a taser and or gun hidden from the people at places vulnerable to shootings and frequently checked on to ensure he doesnt lose his sanity over whatever it may be as to not have a crazy boy with a gun.

Oh hahaha as i finish this post a boy got arrested for invoking a reaction on snapchat saying "we're gonna have a round 2 in florida with a big mf-ing gun"

hey this is FUN STUFF A 9TH GRADER HAS A GUN HALF HIS SIZE THREATENING ROUND TWOOO dang if only the gun were real he'd be done for ever

No, a bump stock is a simple attachment to a weapon to make it similar to an automatic rifle. An automatic rifle with a select fire has never been used in a mass shooting in the united states due to the stringent requirements of owning one.

The purpose of the bump stock is to make semi-auto weapons automatic, so yes they have no purpose except for military use.

Get rid of it if it makes the gun more like an automatic rifle we don't need it. There's no use for it. I dont give a dang if it was only used in 1 shooting the further away we are from automatic weapons the better.

We're getting dangerously close to irrational subjectification. There are some reasons for bump stocks to exist.

The military generally does not use fully automatic weapons. Most combat related airman, soldiers, seamen, etc use single-fire weapons. Generally, you will only see very few members using automatic weapons, and when they are used they aren't used for killing, they're used for suppression of enemy positions.

Disabled shooters use them and they are used in some sports shooting competitions. These are just two reasons. Without getting on google, I'm sure there are more to be researched.

    Oh the disabled people I forgot about them ok so because they can't use the guns without the bump stocks let's just keep them available for E V E R Y O N E T O U S E.

OR WE MAKE IT A RESTRICTED ITEM FOR SPECIFIC USES TO BE SOLD SPECIFICALLY FOR SPECIFIC PEOPLE FOR SPECIFIC EVENTS OR JUST SOLELY AVAILABLE AT SPECIFIC EVENTS TO BE USED FOR THE EVENT AND TO NOT BE KEPT.

We dont need them free in the public just because the disabled need them.

We're getting to the point that there's so much gun violence that in the history books they can't reference 1 or 2 major incidents because there's going to be so many they'll have to say "about 30 mass shootings of 20 deaths or more happened in the span of 5 years compared to whatever many in whatever period of year"

Which is absolutely despicable that it's getting to the point that all these people's lives are slowly just becoming footnotes in the grand scheme of things.

Fun Fact: The TSA has never actually prevented a terrorist attack. They're only good for a free prostate exam.
