Is that a choice? Or can the servers not handle it? Is there no way to keep deathscenes specific to reports? Thanks in advance for answering :D

It definitely isn't a choice. I'm sure most staff would welcome the ability to view death scenes from the previous map. I don't think death scenes are saved as files, I believe death scenes function more as a tool, and it recreates the conditions of the kill and the ten seconds prior. These can be converted to files, and that is why we have the option to save death scenes in our logs, but they require a special player addon to open, and i'm not even sure that addon is still supported. Another issue may be that opening a death scene on the wrong map may throw up errors, and even if it did we wouldn't be able to tell if there were any map objects blocking the player's vision (say for instance there was a wall on the last map but no wall on the current map. We may conclude that a player saw an unided body because on the new map there is no wall, but on the old map there was, leading to errors).

In short: I do believe it is a technical limitation, and yes, death scenes can technically be saved if you are quick enough at recording them or quick enough at saving them.
