9/11 jokes aren't new and I wouldn't call everyone who makes a 9/11 joke immature, more they just have a dark sense of humor. In fact some people use it as a way to deal with the trauma of the event. That really only applies if you are doing privately, in your circle of friends, where you know that nobody will be offended by it. Making a thread for the general public is different.

I am seriously failing to understand why everyone is getting so bent out of shape about this. I have heard multiple people made a bad 9-11 joke in game who either commented or gave a negative rating to Jackie/Good rating to highwon. It is a joke. It is actually a fairly funny joke, all things considered. Is it in bad taste? Probably. But this is a gaming community. Jokes are made in bad taste literally every minute. I feel like Jackie is getting so much hate on this because Highwon mentioned it in a negative way.

Edit: Can you people seriously tell me that this would receive so much hate if it was done at literally any other time, or in slightly different context? Cuz I know for a fact it wouldn't. Yes, it was a dumb joke. It was also a funny one. If Jackie posted this exact same pic, except instead of Highwon it was EA or something, and sgmod was replace with Art of gaming or some similar thing like that, that you would get so offended? I know some of you would get butthurt over the smallest thing, but most of you wouldn't care or would find it funny.

 

People like to be overly offended when it best suits them, and in this situation I feel like everyone is simply bandwagon'ing on the sensitivity here.
