Hello sttt members, today I want to ask a simple question. I will go ahead and tag @Rambo because he was the one that taught me this. So the topic is getting to unreachable areas by standing on top of ones head. So as an example we will chose the map cs_assualt. There is a reachable area at the parkour right? then you can jump on ones head and get on the barb wire. I have yet to know if this is loop holing or allowed. So feel free to express your opinion.
Technically it is, though I've seen some staff members ask you not to go to certain places, most often if they're out of sight.
This ^ I've also always deemed "un-reachable" as not being able to be reached by bullets either. If a player can be shot and killed (especially while prop-surfing) then I usually don't teleport them until they present an issue (delaying, camping and AFK'ing in one of these spots.)
I was there when I saw this. I didn't bring him because he said he got on another person's head. As long as you didn't use a prop to get there.
I have to agree with POP STAR. I have a spot on Island that very few people know about and im very vulnerable if found but people don't think to look. If you can be seen and EASILY shot i don't see why its a problem. Which is strange considering the "parkour" on Assault makes your very difficult to hit.
Thank you for bringing this up doublerainbow. I had thought that getting up behind/on top of the fence above the overpass was an unreachable spot but I suppose that if you didn't use props and can be shot, you're in the clear. I'll keep this in mind.
Thanks for posting this double, as I said I told Opii, its allowed as long as we didnt prop surf. Yet he brings double and I, and his reasoning was it was an unreacable area. I argued with him telling him it was allowed since no props were involved. If this rule was never stated in the !motd/rules its allowed. I told Opii to make a thread yet he never did. Thanks for posting this Double. If any staff could notify Opii of this then that would be much appreciated. Also, Toxin if you were there to witness this happen, then why didn't you correct Opii for his simple mistake? Thanks for the clarification anyways. @Opii @doublerainbow @Sinz @POPSTAR @Carned @Toxin @Zikeji
Yes, you can prop surf, only if its to get to an area thats reachable without the use of a prop. This said, prop surfing is allowed only if you're in plain sight and aren't trying to go into an unreachable area.
Good point, certain areas are accessible with OR WITHOUT props, so it doesn't matter how you got to those areas. It is only considered unreachable if the ONLY way to get there is to use props.
Obvious loophole. If you cannot be shot, you will be brought. It's unreachable by default if you can't be shot at (game breaking).
Wait, one quick question, what if a player uses another player to stand up and them jumping from a higher level, onto the other players head to get to an unreachable area. Us this considered another "type" of prop surfing, if you will?
Players aren't props.. Haha. But like sinz said, if it's unreachable with bullets, you'll probably be teleported by the staff.
If you use a prop to get on top of someone's head, then yes. You can't by default jump on someone's head even if they're crouched, so you need some elevation on the player to do that. If it's natural map elevation, go for it.
