Why should you be unbanned: I was banned for 450 minutes by Zikeji for unknown reason.
I added Snak on Steam directly after to find out why and apparently it was for Harassment. According to your message board I should get a gag -> warning -> ungag and a few other things before a ban.

I got none of these and according to Snak I didn't get any warnings because of how seriously they took it. Something along the lines of "if it's too severe we instantly ban".

Should I really be banned without the warnings your rules say you're supposed to give me just because a moderator took it too harshly, or was butthurt over it. (Whichever term you prefer.)

Zikeji seems to be new as his mod app was Nov 09, 2013.

Ahead of time, Snak said he would defend the shit out of Zikeji if I made a post. So yeah.

I muted you and unmuted you, which counts as 1 tier of punishment.

The situation at the time was very unstable, you were twisting our words and causing disrest in the players. I had to be careful with situation to prevent discomfort with players.

We had RDM reports to deal with and you were causing us to waste our time and not be able to get to the players who actually needed help. We sorted out everything we needed to so I unbanned you. Don't let this happen again, and please don't waste our time.

Also, please provide evidence next time. Although I know the evidence in this case would just serve as evidence against you, you still need it out.

You never muted or unmuted me, your rules say gag still.

In your opinion I was twisting your words, I was actually following exactly what you said. It looks as if Snak told you what to say though, as you basically copied and pasted his words from the Steam chat.

Being careful with the situation was not giving me fair warning? How is that being careful or fair?

I was not using the report feature to talk, just normal chat. RDMs should be in the @ chat so I shouldn't have been wasting your time at all by talking with other players and you, you didn't have to respond.

I couldn't think of a way to provide evidence when banned from the server.

Also, I had two in game friends repeatedly check for me my ban time. I doubt two people got it wrong, they said it was 450min.

I'm fairly certain I did. I may have done it to fast and since everyone was talking the chat was getting buffered out pretty fast.

Although recently I've started to just do the mute and message and do the unmute later.

But it is possible I missed muting you, it was an uproar at the time with you, rsancho, and Sheriff(I know I muted/gagged both of them) all twisting our words and the words of others.

I was not twisting your words, maybe you're confusing me with them. I was actually following directly what you said, which I assume this is about when you said that it is only traitorous to run away from un-id'd bodies and I said something like "So I can just sit on one and not be shot for it?"

If my answer matters to the question above, A players was pre-slayed for 1 round for killing someone who was near an un-id'd body. Said players story kept slightly changing. It being that he did id it to him only getting a 0.5second chance before dieing, etc. He never seemed to keep a straight story. A few players defended him (Him being the shooter being slain), while I think only the mods were against him.

If it truly was a 45minute ban by the time it was sorted out it wouldn't matter. Yay.

 

No, I stated that "not identifying bodies" is traitorous, which constitutes ignoring(running over, running away from) and simply refusing to ID a body when asked directly to ID it. It doesn't say "being near an unID'd body is traitorous".

rsancho was slayed for 1 round for RDM, it's a fairly simple concept.

I saw it go down first hand, rsancho, a detective at the time, killed a traitor and then ran into the closet without ID'ing the body, he then watched Saczva walk up to the body and ID it before he blasted Saczva down. I then ID'd Saczva's body and was about to question rsancho when rsancho blasted down an innocent for absolutely no reason(the innocent was also in front of the door but no long by an unID'd body). I fear rsancho must have neglected to notice the bodies were ID'd, but it happened. He RDM'd two people but I only slaid him for 1 round.

While I do agree that Saczva's story did change, I wasn't following his. I only stated my story from what I directly saw. And the slay wasn't for Saczva anyway, since we were figuring it out at the time. The slay was for the innocent he killed, who wasn't happy.

MckeonHitman, after this rsancho started complaining in the chat and over the mic about it saying the staff "didn't know the rules" and "don't you love being unfairly slain?" (some of this was also in admin chat). We were getting rsancho to cool down when Evil butted in and started riling everyone up.

He's clearly wasting our time and attempting to provoke us. I'll add that we were both dealing with different cases so we couldn't have been contrasting eachother.

At this point all of us were under a lot of a pressure. I do agree we could have done things differently, but at this point I didn't want to make three players angry by kicking all of them so I decided to ban the problematic one.

 

TheEvilMouse was constantly adding too the shit being stired, anytime any mod would say ANYTHING he would come back with a lie to counter it or just argue againist it to defend the offender, when i say anything i mean he was littearly calling us shitty mods and VIP protectors because we were slaying rdmers?


His constant bullshit he was saying I was happy he banned you i was on the verge of doing it myself, and your right i did say i'd defend the shit out of him because i get the feeling im talking to a snake liar when i talk too you

 

While I do understand why Mouse was banned with the evidence that has been brought forth by Zikeji, I do not feel a 45 ban was the right choice of action for this circumstance. The proper course of action would have been the following:

1. Mute, warn, Unmute
2. Mute for 2 rounds
3. Mute for 6 rounds
4. 8 hour ban if it continues.

While I do feel the ban was somewhat justified by Mouse's failure to cooperate with the staff,it was definitely premature and better things could have been done to diffuse the situation.

Mouse, you enabled this ban to happen with your behavior but Zikeji shouldn't have banned you so fast. Next time you are in a situation when someone is in a disagreement with so etching a staff member says or does don't stir the pot. That's just asking for trouble.

 

I apologize, with the way OP was acting I was worried he would start PM'ing other users and stirring stuff up in retaliation. At the time we had 3 queued RDM repots and 1 misc report. As Snak said, we were all ready to do something. The problem with this circumstance is I didn't exactly know how to classify it. It didn't seem to much like harassment nor did it seem like spam(although now that I look at it I could have easily classified it as either of those two) so I decided to opt to enact this clause: "Punishments are subject to change under an admin's discretion.". Only later did I realize it probably only applies to admins and not mods.

 

He was basically trying very hard to make us look bad and give the server a bad image, him and his friend would shoot shots at us anytime they could just to talk smack, people who play purposly to talk down about everything I dont flow well with

 

I understand... But with a mute for 2 or even 6 rounds things should, and will settle themselves down 90% of the time.

 

I'm not saying it wasent an excessive ban but zike is still new and in no way did theevilmouse have good intentions while playing, if you know someone is on just to cause problems It's much easier to mistakenly punish them harsher as other servers are alot less leiant with troublemakers and its just an adjustment for him. I'll be honest when I saw the punishment for ghosting/hacking was only 1 month for first offense, I was shocked. I don't understand how you could let a HACKER back onto the server, and no TheEvilMouse is not a hacker but last night he was only there to cause problems
