1.What you think about the kids who spam the voice chat with their voices and disturb the server? I supported this before with other kids but today 4 kids connected in the same time and 2 of they begin fighting in the voice chat. I think the server is Serious and we need a new rule in the part of Mic spamming, the rule can be like : Don't scream in the voice chat, if you have a toxic voice don't talk in the voice chat only please use the Text chat and apply the same punishments to this type of Spamming. I think this post can be absurd but in the game my head explode for this kids. So post what you think about that type of voice and that type of kids in the server Thanks for that, and sorry for the english level ( i don't speak a good english)
Not is that, I'm talking about the Mic spam like the kids who scream and fight in the public chat , the kids who sing in the chat and do weird sounds, i'm talking about the kids who disturb the people trolling or saying other Things, Not the kids who only speak in the chat because it don't disturb me I say it because the admins can stay connected in the server but Don't do anything
against the rules already (depending on situation) against the rules already. I was online with you when these kids were on, and yes they were being annoying, and whenever one broke the rules and started playing a tambourine, he was gagged. However, we can't stop them from just talking. Brother, you were a squeaker once. So was I. So was everyone. It's no coincidence that young people on the server are often annoying, and they get tons of shit from others anyway. It's supposed to be a welcoming community, and it's not viable to have people being gagged all the time and having an admin breathe down their neck simply because a few deem that player annoying. they aren't aliens y'know, they're people too. Remember the human.
The protocol for mic spam when done correctly should take care of most everything you mentioned. Like Titan said, most of that is what people already get gagged and sometimes banned for. (except not letting people with "annoying voices" or "toxic voices" speak at all. that would be fucked up.)
+1, get squeakers off the voice chat. anyone who disagrees is probably a squeaker. Just use the built in mute function. There's nothing wrong with disliking a high-pitched voice, but any sort of rule tweaking for it is going to be unnecessary and silly.
People saying to get rid of squeakers....while I agree when you can tell it's obviously a kid, but people like me would be screwed just because I have a permanent-prepubecent voice...
A thread like this exists? We were all stupid kids man, it's the internet. Let kids be kids, and if they spam, let mods mute them. Like holy damn, stop being edgy teenagers and lay back. Be more compassionate.
We've all been kids before and I actually dont mind them at all because my little brother plays Overwatch and never uses mic but one day he thought he would be brave enough to talk in voice chat to communicate with teammates better but the assholes just made fun of his young voice and obviously called him a squeaker and my bro cried and i felt so bad so now i have a rule that I can never call someone a squeaker again and there's why u shouldn't either because we were all young at one point and obviously these kids can't control their voices so just chill before u pick on em
Well, it's simple, don't play vanilla. I RARELY hear "squeakers" in West/ modded servers. Like.. rarely.. And when I do, It's not all that bad in the first place, if it really bothers you THAT much then simply mute them, that's what the mute button is for.
You guys are beating a dead horse. This thread is nearly a month old. We get it, the suggestion is a bad idea for a multitude of reasons.
I feel there's a difference between a kid playing and a squeaker. I'm normally nice if I hear a kid is on but the minute they start screeching or just flat out refusing to listen (like when they ask a question a thousand times and don't listen when people answer)that's when I have issue. Hell on the server I ran for a while we had a 9year old that was more liked than most of the community lol. Depends on the person I suppose.
