Rules in TTT are very fragile thing. Serious Gmod does them rather well. Others don't. Lets pay homage to our SGM overlords and List here some of the worst rules you have seen on another TTT Server. You don't have to get the exact wording of the rule, just the general sense of it. (And remember, don't post any server names!) -If you see someone shooting/killing another person, wait until the bodies are ID'd before shooting either shooter. -You can only call Sus on DNA. -You can only shoot/Damage someone that has damaged you. Any other reason for damaging/killing someone is considered RDM and will result in a slay.
I've got one. If someone says that they're a traitor, it's kosable. It's a stupid rule. This rule came from the compactgamers server.
I saw a server where they had mods that applied to get the position, and mods who paid. Their rule said they are not allowed to punish each other so the applied mod couldn't do anything about the paid for mod who was harassing and insulting the other players
Not a rule but, whenever you rdm a traitor you get 2 slays instead of the one. This is dumb for one reason: If I am rdming, I clearly do not know who is a traitor and who is innocent. In theory it is impossible to rdm a traitor on purpose, as if you know who the traitor is then you clearly must have the proof to justify yourself thus it is not random. I'm sorry. 1 slay for all the roles please ffs.
Oh, I just remembered a rule on a server I used to staff. The exact wording of the rule is lost to me, but basically it was against the rules to do anything to anyone unless you explicitly saw it. For example, someone could close a door in say, a closet, you could be standing in the room facing the door, then the person could shoot you in the back once, and you couldn't shoot them, because you didn't see them shoot. The day I learned that's how literal that rule was taken was the day I stopped being a 'Lead admin' Oh, and that same server had the following ranks: -Trial Mod. -Moderator. -Something I don't know what it was anymore Moderator -Head Moderator. -Admin. -Lead Admin. -Head Admin. -Owner. It wasn't a very good server.
How did you get that high up in the ranks without realizing that the rules of the server were handled the way that they were?
The people that taught me and the people below me all where under a different impression about the rules. Then, one day, the Head Admin came on and said 'Nope. Do it this way'.
A server had no suicide rule because it would mean "waste of usage of t weapons". It was bannable offense as well, which is just dumb.
I know the server you mean. It's cloesd know. The community still exists with other gamemodes, those are good. It was: Tmod Mod Admin Lead admin Head mod Head admin Co-owner Owner Also, on a server i went on once there was a rule: Sprays aren't allowed. At all. Only thing is, sprays were enabled.
Played on a server once where everyone just lined up to test because if you didn't test you were KOS'd. Didn't matter who told you to test.
Played on a server where you weren't allowed to kill each other AFTER the round had ended. I got kicked and didn't go back.
