This basically sums it up Thank you Treyarch for 10 years of Zombies and Storytelling but you let that got to waste with 2 years of disappointment

The whole premise is that the Aether group is in a cycle where they have to fight over and over. Nikolai upon reading the Kronorium realized there's no way to break the cycle with the Ultimis/Primis crew. Richtofen has been restarting the cycle for who knows how long just to find a way to break it, but it becomes apparent that they can't unless they sacrifice themselves. Nikolai doubting if the crew will commit to it poisons them all and then asks samantha to shoot him officially breaking the cycle by means of never letting it start (there's no great war, apothicans, Monty, Shadowman if the crew is never alive in the 1st place). Victis is unfortunately still a pawn after all their name literally translates to victims. There are *rumours* of a super easter egg, but it's probably just denial
Yeeeeeaaaah, a super weak ending to the storylines. Im holding out for that secret achievement on Tag though. Just maybe....
