Here are just some goofy thoughts I had for possible weapons and game mechanics. 1. Paint Gun for Detectives: This would allow the Detective to visibly "paint" players a bright color, which would then be counted as a KOS. It would cost a credit, and maybe have a limited number of shots with high accuracy. The purpose would be to mark a traitor using a disguiser, or to mark a player for kos if keybinds didn't register who you were aiming at last. Another possible mode of this would be that when the detective buys this item, it would apply the "paint" function to all of his weapons. (would maybe come with an alt click "wash" function to take the paint off of innos caught in crossfire?) 2. A "Pull" function for the Newton Launcher: This would give a little bit of a buff to the rarely-used Newton launcher. It's pretty simple. In addition to the newton launcher being able to charge a push shot, it would also be able to charge and shoot a bolt, on an alt fire, that pulls the target towards the shooter when hit, opposite of a push. *Warning: extra crazy* Maybe adding an explosive discombobulator-like hitscan bullet as a tertiary fire would make it more useful (fun) too? I don't know. 3. A Taser for Detectives: This would be another item for the Detective to buy from the detective shop. It would have a very limited number of shots, and would do no damage, but it would hold the target in place, and prevent the target from doing any actions (firing weapon, dropping weapon, reloading) For a short time. The purpose of this would be to hold a suspect in place as a dna scan finishes, so that it is certain if the suspect is the owner of the dna. There would also be some sort of mechanic, if possible, that prohibited the tasing if the target had recently fired its weapon (to avoid tasing a target in a firefight, acting as a one hit KO).
1. -1 too much potential for crossfire RDM. It's literally calling a KOS that can't be taken back. Ex. Detective has put his paintball gun, shoots a guy for committing a t act, turns out the guy killed a t, got proven and is now painted and proven. 2. +1 not a bad idea 3. -1 it's been suggested before. Please search before searching.
The Paint Gun/mode ruins the entire idea of a disguiser, although that is the point I can also see people abusing this as a way to call out people on models. People will do it anyway, but no reason to make it any easier for them. -1 The Pull on the newton launcher is interesting, I'm sure it would be possible however is already has an "alt fire" AKA the charged shot on right click. If it is possible this would be neat. The AOE shot seems a bit op. +1 for pull -1 for AOE I've played on servers with tasers, they are ridicilious and cause problems and even if they were coded to not shoot if the target had recently fired his weapon(I doubt this is even possible.) I don't agree with this being added. -1
1. Crossfire and a hell lot more Reports from affected "Proven" peeps. 2. Pulling... Would work well on the high rise maps and helping a T buddy get away from danger fast. 3. Might work, but it has been suggested before as said above
