I was thinking how there are those few that own up to rdming now and then, but there are no mods online to slay them. That lead me to the questions: Would it be ok if the player who owns up to their rdm slays themselves the next rounds and you can see in the logs that the said player was in/playing the round after that? Also way back when I had slayed myself before the mods slayed me because I knew I rdmed and I wasn't sure if they were going to slay me. Is that ok as well?
Only staff members can slay other players. That's the entire issue. Plus, some people may not realize that they RDMed and will fail to own up to it. With the staff members' ability to view logs and get information on what occurred from both the offender and the victim, we can get information on what really occurred. What you did was considered killing yourself and not serving a slay. Even if you killed yourself for the RDM, you would still have to serve a slay if you did RDM. After all, crime doesn't go unpunished. There have been suggestions for players to have the ability to slay themselves in the absence of a staff member with a command and a log to show that they were slain, but none have been implemented. So until then, only staff members can slay at the moment.
Killing yourself doesn't mean you are slaying yourself. You can only be truly slain if it were a staff member that issued it. Just ask for a staff to come and slay you.
