Thanks for making an appeal. I banned you for RDM and leave (1st offense).

Here is the report that you made after the incident in the video occurred.

As you can see, this report showed that Detective Cat killed you. Once he responded I saw that he said that you did damage to him, which wasnt shown on the logs before the victim's death, so I went back in and looked for myself.

Since the damage wasn't shown in the report, I went back and looked at the logs from that round, and sure enough you did damage him right at the start of the round. At this point I put a slay on you, and you said you had video evidence so I unslayed you to see your video.

In the video you do indeed push him, but it was in pre-round. He then fell off the cliff and took damage when the round started. This is still considered RDM because you still did damage to him in the actual round, even though it may not have been intentional accidental RDM is still considered RDM. I even went ahead and asked my admin @Muffin and showed him the evidence just to make sure that my slay was correct, and he agreed with me.

So with all this said, and having had an admin look it over I am going to go ahead and deny your appeal. I understand you may have been frustrated with being slain and I am sorry for that, but leaving knowing that you will be banned is not the correct way to handle the situation.

Also as you know you are still free to play on any of the other servers until your ban expires in five days.

I apologize for this inconvenience, @Serious Lawyerbot.

When I was approached about this by my Moderator @Hingle, I was staffing Vanilla at a rather hectic time, and I had him give me the run-down via voice as opposed to watching the video. Basically, the way this was described was a player pushed another with a crowbar, and the other player fell and was damaged when the actual round started. This would be RDM.

However, with the video evidence as seen here, you can see that the player wasnt pushed; the player who crowbarred the other didn't actually cause the player to take damage. However, our logs have an odd tendency to give credit to a player for damage taken after a crowbar hit for a few seconds. This is why in the logs it would have said that you damaged this player when in-fact, you had no effect on the player and were not the cause of him taking damage.

Usually, if a player pushes another off of a ledge in pre-round and the player takes damage in the actual round, it is RDM. But for reasons already discussed, this situation is obviously different.

Again, I apologize for any inconvenience, and I can assure you that this ban will not reflect on you negatively in the future, and can be considered null and void.
