My review on "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" Down of "Justice", you got it? "Justice", just like "Justice League". But enough with a jokes, lets get to the review. First of all, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" has nothing in common with Frank Miller's graphic novel "The Dark Knight Returns". So, keep that in mind when you gonna watch this movie. By filming this movie DC basically doing first step in establishing Justice League, and it is a GIANT step I'll say. Many cameos from future Justice League members can be found in it. There is many negative reviews on this movie, but it's mosty due the fact that it's NOT just ecranisation of "The Dark Knight Returns" graphic novel. It's different movie with its own plot. Yes, there is some negative sides, like soundtrack sometimes just not good. And you definitely don't want to mess with THIS Batman, unless you want your neck broken :3 . Other then that I'll say this movie is GOOD, not perfect, but good. I'll give it 0/10 for not being "The Dark Knight Returns" movie. But srsly, I'll give it 8/10.
Heavy spoilers ahead!!! Don't read this if you want to see the movie!!! Spoiler First thing is that Batman actually kills people in this movie, there is few moments when bad guys just got exploded by Batman. He even snaps one guys neck. (In future tho ). This one can be good side for some people and bad side for others. Because from one side Batman is more brutal guy now, he's fucking kiling people. From other side all this "Not kill" and stuff. Lex Luthor is fuckig awesome. There is Flash, Cyborg and Aqua Men cameos in here, as well as Wonder Womans cameo. (Justice League guys ). Also they fitted "Superman vs Doomsday" in there, so Superman dies at the end, while also killing Doomsday. But cmon, we all know Superman gonna be resurrected in the next movie .
Spoilers..? Spoiler: Deep Stuff Superman- "Save Martha..." Batman- "DO FOOK YA HEAR THAT NAME" For the most part I think it was fairly good. The whole Dracula thing with flying along bats was rather off, but it was fine.
Had a chat with my directing teacher. He said that the difference between Marvel and DC is that Marvel had many movies to build up to the Avengers. They had 2 Hulk movies, 2 Iron Man movies, a Captain America movie, and a Thor Movie. Let's be real, this movie is basically the start of Justice League and they only had one movie to build up. There are many mixed perspectives on this, a comic/DC fan might like it because of the information it's giving out or hate it because it's not true to some characters (I didn't really read comics so I can't judge). But if someone who doesn't pay attention to any DC universe, they would be like "these visuals are amazing but I have no clue what the fuck is going on". This is the main problem with writing adaptations, you don't want the audience to go back to the source material to find out what's going on, but at the same time you don't want too much exposition in your film.
I have just watched it (infact Im still in the theater on my phone) and the one thing that grinds my gears is that they can blow up Superman with a nuke but he gets fuck if he's stabbed in the chest, I dont know how theyre planning on bringing him back due to the fact that didnt they just reset the DC universe for him to come back? I was thinking "Oh just take the dude back to the sun so he can come back" but apparently they burried him so they aint even got his body to do that, like tf b, OH WAIT THE DIRT ON HIS COFFIN MOVED HES STILL ALIVE get the fuck outta here with that stupid shot Lex Luthor was incredibly played by... that guy, I forgot his name, but yeah really good acting on his part. Cant wait for an Aquaman movie though, I think he's seriously an underrated hero.
Well there already was Superman vs Doomsday in comic series, where they killed each other and then Superman resurrected, so nothing new here. About getting killed by stabing and not giving shit about nuke, well it's just how Superman are. I mean he can go into Sun and not get burned and stuff. And this stab clearly done great damage to him (like doing hole in his chest). And yeah, Lex Luthor was great, he was played by Jessy Heisenberg. Ben Afflecks Batman was great. And Wonder Woman was Great too.
I found it quite interesting. There were some parts (the beginning) that were kinda boring but that's to be expected. I loved Lex. I love the actor (can't remember his name off the bat) I give it a 8/10.
