    Reason For Report:
Slaying when I shouldn't be slain (I had been shot and lost like 56 health and then I see RITKIT (a T) say how manzy (a inno) shot me while manzy was holding a rifle so it seemed believable but I noticed he was an inno when I killed him and it ended up being a false KOS) but sivad thinks that it was no KOS and slain me for it
    Evidence And/Or Witnesses:
    RITKIT and manzy

    Hello @jarodNYC,

As you know we had a long discussion in game about this report and I've had an even longer discussion with my admin @FrostedBlade outside of the game. We also discussed this situation with a few of our advisers to be certain. In this situation as ritkit had not said "kos manzy" or "manzy is a traitor" I interpreted the rules by using the final words rule which state they must be concise in saying the player is a traitor and not elude to or infer that the player is a traitor. We have had quite a few similar situations of these KOS situations on the forum and they tend to be a heated debate when they come up. From my discussion with my admin as well as our advisers the consensus would be that this would constitute a KOS as he stated a player committed a traitorous act and not stated as a question or otherwise this would hold up as a valid KOS in the circumstance. I would also like to clarify that you were shot by Shroom [Traitor] at 0:36 for 75hp and you shot Manzy [Innocent] at 0:57. Seeing as he infact did not shoot you, a substantial amount of time (21 seconds) passed between you getting shot and you pursuing your attacker and I did not believe the kos was valid I interpreted this as you killing him on suspicion of damaging you and not facts presented.

I would like to apologize as my interpretation of the rules that applied to this situation were incorrect and I will amend your admin-stats to reflect this as well as offer you my sincerest apologies for this situation. I would like to assure you I was trying to act in the best interest of the players and had no malicious intent toward you and only had the best intentions through my actions.

I will also leave this report open for my admin to respond with any further input and insight he may have regarding this situation.

Hello jarodNYC! I hope that you are having a good day today, and a fun time on our servers despite this incident.

You were correct in following the indirect KOS on manzy. Although no direct KOS was issued on manzy, the player RITKIT stated as a fact that manzy had committed a traitorous act (shooting you). As I have corrected my Moderator Sivad87, this is indeed a KOS, because a player is announcing to the server that another player committed a traitorous act, and traitorous act's are KOS'able. To further clarify, I will give two example's side-by-side to ensure that there is no confusion surrounding this instance of indirect KOS.

Indirect KOS: FrostedBlade ask's Sivad87, "Sivad87, why did you shoot jarodNYC?" This is an indirect KOS. I am stating that I saw, or know of, an instance during the round in which Sivad87 shot jarodNYC.
Question: FrostedBlade ask's Sivad87, "Sivad87, did you shoot jarodNYC?" This is not a KOS. I am simply asking a question in this example. These two examples are similar, but vastly different. In the first example, a player states that another player committed a traitorous act as if it were factual. In the second example, a player is inquiring if a traitorous act took place.

As stated above, @Sivad87 sought my insight after the incident had occurred. I have explained to him in detail that the slay was false and why. This situation of indirect KOS is rare, and not many players know that they can follow these kind of statements as a KOS. Although Sivad87 was the one to give out the slay, the responsibility relies upon me, as I had failed to go over this kind of situation with my Moderators before. Nonetheless, Sivad87 and I will both serve a slay at our earliest convenience. I apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused you, and hope that we can all continue to enjoy each-others presence online.

Finally, thank you for taking the time to report this incident on the forums, without your doing so, no one can learn anything from experience. Thank you for making the servers a better place.

This report has been found VALID.
