It used to be part of our server like a year ago, and everyone hated it back then. It makes no sense as to why it was added back. Everyone still hates it.
Well I mean every time I go on the map, I always hear a bunch of complains. These are some that I've heard: -The weapon spawns are crap -The ramp to get in the temple kills/damages so many people -Its hard to find your way around it The complaints come literally every time I play on that map. Have you seriously not heard any?
-The weapons spawns aren't bad if you know where to look for them -The ramp only kills the dumb people who don't know how to go down it -The map isn't even complicated, its just one big rectangle
Don't hate on wompzilla for this suggestion. I've heard tons of people bitch about this map when it was played, which surprised me because it's actually a good map. I say keep it, and if people start bitching about it in-game then tell them that they can just GTFO and play on one of the other servers if they hate the map that much.
Sacrifice! Sacrifice! I wasn't around when it was previously on the servers. I'm glad it was added back, I always have a good time on Lost Temple. And think its a great map. Plus them pretty blue/green flames <3 -1
Well, in the end its up to the community. I assume all of the disagreement is do to the fact that most of you never played back before it was removed. Eventually though, I believe you guys will learn to hate it like everyone else did back before it was removed long ago.
-Yes, you actually have to look for the weapons. The weapons spawns are very far from each other and lack the density that other maps have for their weapon spawns. Its just easier to buy weapons from the shop every round -Even when I press S while I go down the ramp, the first ramp sometimes just launches me up into the air and ends up killing me. If this is what you mean by "[knowing] how to go down it", it simply doesn't always work the way you hope it would. -If you look at most maps from a distance through spectator view, then they are all pretty much just rectangles. You neglect the fact that inside said rectangle, there are multiple similar looking corridors that are designed to mimic a maze, like real life temples which are designed that way in order to confuse plunderers.
While the map does have some flaws (the ramp, weapon density), it is far better then the map that it replaced, Alien, which almost required buying weapons or spawning in a room with one to get a decent gun. If the server owner could get this map modified a tad, to have a few more weapons, it would be very nice.
Everybody says that about every map. And the ramps don't do any damage if you go down appropriately. I see a lot of players just jump onto the ramp and get mad of how they got fall damage. This map is really fun too. Also sacrificing people to the dark lords have never been so easy. Also yeah, it's a bit big but that's what makes it so awesome. -1 Dumb suggestion is dumb.
I played and loved the map the first time it was on the server. I still have the same opinion. I do agree that the weapons are sort of sparse, but whatever. I can't recall a time that the ramp ever killed me unless I was specifically trying to die from it. It just takes practice. The map is also not hard to learn. The first few times I played, sure, I got lost, but eventually I got to knowing the map pretty well.
Let's be honest, every map is somewhat confusing the first couple of times you play it. The weapons aren't hard to find so long as you know where to look, if you go down the ramp as soon as you spawn you can make it to a weapon rather quickly. Making it down the ramp is just holding S, unless you want to be fancy with it. So, how about we keep one of my favorite maps?
-1 This is like saying "Remove the AWP from CSGO, it is so unfair and everyone uses it." You just don't know how to counter the awp. Figure out how to play the map. There's one main part of the map and there's tunnels leading in 4 directions, each tunnel has a main corner (There's rooms in every corner) and there's nice T rooms. Just go on it in offline mode and play around.
This map is my favorite and I am so glad we have it. -1 Sacrifice! Sacrifice! Sacrifice! Sacrifice! Sacrifice!
