Remove Guilt by Association from rules.

Allows players to RDM other players who just recently killed someone if they didn't help.

I was killed by an innocent because I was just entering a room where he got done killing a traitor. He claimed that I saw them killing each other and I didnt help him, so he killed me. However, I was waiting in another room until it was safe. When I went to go ID a body, he killed me and called it as guilt by association.

I usually wait until gunfights are over so it won't start an RDM train and so I won't lower my karma.

 

Although I personally do not use gba very often, it has its purpose. I have been killed a few times for watching my T-buddy gun down people, and in the moment it sucks, but we pick ourselves up and move on. Do some innos get killed from it? Yeah, but inmos get killed for almost all t-acts. You have to be aware of what's going in around you, anything in your line of sight is your responsibility.

 

I guess this is where recording rounds is useful? To prove that you saw nothing. There are loophole trolls out there who use GBA as an excuse to RDM. If they are caught lying they'll be handed a arshwr punishment.

Yeah the guy who I reported was a moderator @Vorlass and nothing is being done as of now, another mod locked the thread until a higher level Moderator reviews my report. Honestly I think they're not going to listen to me just because they trust a Moderator more.

It isn't a point of who they trust more, it's a point of is there enough evidence for punishment. Your words are equal, but the outcomes possible are he gets punished or he doesn't. This isn't he gets punished or you get punished. You lose nothing from either possible outcome.

 

Because there is no evidence, in a word vs word situation we drop the case because we don't want to unfairly punish someone. Nothing will be done, not because they trust the mod more but because there is no evidence and it's just word vs word.

The burden of proof lies on the accuser, which is you.

Guilt By Association is commonplace in almost all servers. It's usually filed under common sense. If you see someone commit a traitorous act and do nothing to assist in the situation, you are considered Traitorous.

 

Rdm is damage without proof. Gba is proof

 

No, because he did/most likely did have a reason to kill an innocent because they had done a traitorous act. You should just wait for Vorlass' admin to give the verdict from there, no need to bring it into multiple threads. You may converse with his admin or another admin.. even a lead if you would like to continue. And I would also suggest to take another long hard gander at the extended rules to properly acquaint yourself with GBA.
