But the fact you get to control what maps we play on I believe you to have a sort of God-Complex. This thread was a suggestion thread to diversify the pool of maps on SGM and instead I have you individuals trying to attack my status by implying I cannot afford VIP. First I must reestablish myself to void your attack on my status. I am Chad, the boy wonder. I live life as the upper-middle class. With a family business of Silicone Manufacturing with revenue in the multi-millions. As to why I do not own VIP. It's because I have self respect for myself. Imagine donating to a Garry's Mod server HAHAHAHAHAHAH. I haven't rock bottom yet buddy. As this thread has shown VIP's wish to retain their power of map voting power as the highly accomplished individuals they are. So why don't we compromise and instead of removing voting power we instead increase the duration of locked maps. We can have an increased pool of maps while consequently increasing the diversity of maps. Which I believe will make the server a overall more enjoyable experience.
+1 to this. Dolls, nuketown, 67th, richland, city, b5 on repeat is boring. Lets actually play on all the maps we just added for the anniversary.
Would just like to point out that my comment Does NOT imply you cannot afford VIP, just that buying donator is a simple solution to your problem of being outvoted. Imagine donating a little bit to keep a server up that has provided me with literally over 1000 hours of entertainment and that doesn't count the probably thousands more hours the forums have kept me entertained. Imagine feeling like supporting and appreciating entertainment means having no self respect and hitting "rock bottom" I mean it obviously isn't enough incentive if it means people who donate have no self respect
Hi yes also -1 because as a VIP, that's one of the very few reasons why I bought VIP. I don't like certain repeats either, but do what I do: suck it up.
as someone who has donator map power: i still can't use that power to encourage anyone to play any of the non-repeat maps i actually like, so it's probably less of a function of the donator power and more a function of most people just wanting to play the same maps over and over lmfao. i'd prefer if instead the map lock lasted much longer, like 10+ maps until they start opening up again so that we can actually see some of the other maps. literally never even seen expedition
i agree and disagree with this the main problem i see with this post has already been adressed several times and there is no motive to buy supporter ranks if their privileges are gone however to combat this problem they could extend the map lockout timer(as asked for the 2000th fucking time... @Highwon ffs man this is something that has been mentioned hundreds of times) -1 to remove vote advantages +1 to extend the map lockout period also @audrey "never seen expedition" spoiler it sucks ass
