Is it RDM if I shout someone's name and get cut off but im not dead then somebody kills the guy then kills me for false KOS (Happened a long time ago and im definitely not playing with an alternate account )
Actually, if a player doesn't expressly say "KoS [name]" or "[name] is a traitor!" it isn't technically a KoS. The person that killed him should have been slain for it. Now, if someone is intentionally saying things to attempt to get someone killed without KoSing them they may still receive punishment, but that doesn't seem like the case from your story.
I have spoken to several mods and admins about this. The way Megatron put it was, If you speak their name loudly and in a radical manner, it seems to infer your intentions, so if the person dies due to this, that RDM is on your hands.
Honestly I would not slay for this. Hell I've had people repeat my name over and over (and Chii has too) when I first join. But if someone then shoots me for it, I'm going to slay the person who shot me, not the person who was repeating my name. Thing that ARE considered calling someone out: Calling someone a traitor either in voice or text. (Note: trying to be coy about it, by saying someone is a "triator" or "taitor" or some such nonsense will still get you slain. Calling someone a "tator tot" probably won't. Use common sense) Going "I know this guy is a traitor but I can't prove it" or "I'm pretty sure this guy's a traitor" does not count as a KOS, only super high suspicion. Claiming in voice or text someone shot either someone else, a health station, or you. Claiming someone has a T weapon out (harpoon/dragunov etc) or is interacting with a traitorous device (setting trip wire/arming c4). Note, asking someone "was that a dragunov?" or saying "I'm preeettty sure you had a dragunov out" does NOT count as a KOS Saying or typing KOS so and so, or so and so is KOSed. Note: technically going OKS or SOK or whatever other combo is not a KOS, but don't try to troll too much with it, you'll still probably be punished. Now if say you were saying "Tsu is a Traitor!" and your mic gets cut off at "Tsu is a Tra-" Then that's reasonable reason to KOS. But if you go "OMG TSU TSU TSU TSU" and then stop, and someone shoots me, I'd probably slay whoever shot me for RDM. Again, it depends a lot on intention. If you're obviously doing it to try to cause RDM, you'll probably be slain.
