The detective heard shots, breached the door and saw you with the unid'd body thinking you had just killed him.
All suspicion you can't kill for hearing shoots. I was heading to the body as well and as you see i didn't kill that person.
If someone sees you with an unid body, 99% of the time, they will shoot first and ask questions later. Still a traitorous act to be with an unid body.
Although I wouldn't kill someone for going towards an unidentified body to identify it, it is within the rules. I wish players could differ these two, but some are just really trigger happy.
Check when the Detective entered the room. At that time all he saw was you in a room with an unID - he never even saw you go through the vent. From his perspective that was a clear kill.
You say RDM or not, but who are you talking about? Are you talking about the detective attempting to shoot you? Or are you talking about the T you killed? Now wait let me re word that now. Are you posting this because you believe you were almost RDM'd or are you posting this because you got reported for RDM by shooting the T?
Zigles13 a T can't RDM a Innocent, this had to do with the Detective. This has been talked about already and put under not RDM. I feel it's still killing off suspicion seeing i was trying to ID the body. Seeing in the rules it says not ID-ing a body is traitorous yes but if i'm heading to the body i can only get there so fast to ID said body. With out seeing anything traitorous besides walking to a UN-ID there was no reason for him to kill seeing he never saw anything beside someone going to a UN-ID. Seeing there is another way in to that room and the vent was open and it was the directions i come from all he saw was a person walking to a UN-ID and he didn't give them the chance to ID it because he though i killed that person. The reason i bring up not giving me a chance to ID it is because he never saw me kill him, again so based off that if i wanted to be a dick i could wait until someone walked in a room i knew had UN-ID in it and kill them for it and just say there was a UN-Id with him.
Smiley, you can't be slain for killing a inno if they killed another inno. I don't feel there is anything wrong with the rules here just some of them need to be clarified in more detail.
You should not be slain for kosing somebody who has done ANYTHING under the traitorous acts. If you were, you should report that staff member. The person who initially rdm'd will be held responsible for the rdm chain.
Smiley, thanks for your input. In that specific report, you reported @Kenny for not slaying the detective that killed you. The scenario you state in the above messages are completely different from what happened that day in the time of that report. You can be killed for killing an innocent or calling a KOS on an innocent regardless of the reason. If that innocent committed a traitorous act, you cannot be slain for it. That is why when the detective killed you, he was not slain because the innocent he killed, which was you, did something traitorous which is perfectly within the rules. Likewise, Kenny did not slay you for the very reason. Bottom line; if you kill an innocent or call someone a traitor and they're identified as an innocent, you can be killed. (This has gotten completely off-topic)
Super unhappy, I didn't mean that the T rdm'd you. I just am very bad at wording things. I know that a T can't rdm an innocent haha. But you did answer my question even though I worded it very poorly. I do see your point and one thing that could have helped your cause is to maybe crowbar the vent instead of shooting it had been to further reduce the chances of people assuming that you killed the person. If I were the detective I think I would have tried to keep you in the room and get dna on the body. However, what this detective did was not rdm either. He heard multiple shotgun shots, walked into the room and you were walking in there with an unidentified body and a shotgun in hand. If the body had been identified then yes it would have been rdm but since it wasn't, there was nothing you could really do. It is one of those situations where there was nothing you could have done since you don't have superhuman speed.
