I was just wondering... If you cause a RDM chain, you are responsible for every death in the chain, right?
Yes, if you do start a chain of random killing or damaging you are culpable. However, you are only punished for the damage you've done, but only indirectly responsible for the chain you started. You cannot be punished for every death in the chain unless you directly caused it. As an example, let's say you randomly crowbar an innocent player - You damaged this player without reason and will be punished accordingly - The innocent you crowbarred kills you, another player witnesses this and kills him, so on and so on. Since you only dealt damage to that one innocent you crowbarred, you will only be punished for that one count of random damage.
And to add to that explanation, if you don't start an rdm chain and are just a part of it, you are not held accountable for the damage as you killed an innocent for killing an innocent which is a very good reason to shoot someone.
It feels like you said yes and then explained why the answer is no. You are held accountable for any Rdm you do but in rdm chain the next player is killing for a legitimate reason (usually) so, no, you won't be banned for mass rdm if you start an rdm chain 1 time. Now if you repeatedly or intentionally are starting rdm chains to cause inno deaths (you basically have to admit to it of its intentional) you can also be punished for that but it's treated as it's own offense (warn/slay/2 slays*/ 1 day ban) rather than a summation of all of the deaths that happened. *Some times this was skipped but I believe that was due to admin discretion. It's hard to remember because I haven't had to go past a warning, or maybe 1 slay, in months.
