Answered Question on C4 and it rules.

Before you read this understand that I am in no way upset about this particular incident I just want to clear of some of the confusion about it.

Question: Is having a C4 considered a T-Weapon. is placing a C4 but not arming it traitorous, and is it considered rdm if you shoot a person for doing the previous things stated.

You forgot to add that the person destroyed it 6 seconds before you killed them. The player even called out that he was going to place a C4 to destroy it. The way I see it is that he defused it, picked it up to move to a safer position, placed it to destroy it, destroyed it, then he was killed 6 seconds afterward.

You cannot kill someone just for being near a C4. You have to either see him place/arm it, see him pick it up, or see him walk away (this is situational, use your better judgement) from an armed C4 without announcing for you to be able to kill him. Simply staring at a C4 is not enough evidence for the kill.

 

I know, but all of the things you said were sort of one sided about the incident.

Planting C4, the way I see it, is placing and arming it; I don't think you should kill someone who defuses and destroys a C4. Having a traitor weapon is traitorous and you can kill someone for it.

Just remember that a lot of things are situational. Because the player stated in chat that they had defused the C4 and that they were going to destroy it, that's why the situation was different.

 

You and Event just said it. Planting a C4 is traitorous, and having a T weapon is traitorous.

 

We know that, but in this case you killed someone whose most recent act was destroying C4 they defused. It would be the same thing as someone killing a traitor, getting a harpoon, calling it out that they picked it up after they ID'd the traitor, and stated they were going to throw it into the ceiling so no one else could get it.
