This happened to me earlier today, A T buddy and I were in the T room of 67th way. I was healing up with my death station when he intentionally hits it while im on it until it explodes(he even admits it later). Being the responsible person that he was he slayed himself the next round, since the mods on at that moment said it was not RDM and did not slay him. My question is, would this event be considered RDM? Thank you
If a TRAITOR knowingly blows up a death station while another TRAITOR is using it, without warning and without innos nearby, I'd say this is clearly RDM. It would be like deliberately jihading a fellow T. We usually don't slay for Death Station kills on fellow Ts because it's usually due to an inno using it and a T being nearby. But if a T, knowing full well it's a Death Station (which they do), deliberately shoots it to blow it up, for the sole purpose of killing their T buddy, then it's the very definition of RDM. The problem in this case is proving the T shot it (even going on shoot logs would only be suspicion since it won't show what they shot at), but if he admitted to doing it then a slay should be issued.
If you shoot your death station when there are traitors around, then it's RDM for sure. If an inno goes up and uses it, knowing there are traitors around (even if he has only suspicion of said traitors), then it's not RDM as the kills are credited to the traitor and additionally, there's a big STAY AWAY warning on death stations so unless the traitor manually activates it, it's not RDM.
If youre going to do anything explosive in the vicinity of yout T buddies, warn. If no warning, then most definitely this is RDM
There is no way in which the traitors cannot know that it is not a death station. It has an icon showing fellow Ts it is a death station, so by the very act of detonating it with T buddies near it, it is RDM.
