Why you should be unbanned:

I just got banned on the West server for "ghosting" by Rice. I, however, was sending a message to the admins that the last T was AFK, and who he was. I was trying to progress with the game rather than give a disadvantage or advantage to anyone. I've been playing Gmod for about 300 hours now, most of it spent on TTT and most of it on the Serious TTT servers. I haven't previously been banned before in any Serious TTT servers (unless I'm forgetting something xD ) and I'm a law-abiding member of the community. I was unaware that you can't inform the admins that the last remaining T was AFK and holding up the game, so my apologies in that case. I think I'll now understand that I can't do so. I haven't send the message to anyone that isn't the admins through admin chat, either. So yeah. Plz unban? <3 Jk, but seriously. ​

Hi Necroted! This happened on office on the West server. As a witness @BeastlyMcKinley was also there with me. What happened was we were near the end of the match, and I received a private message from you, Necroted. Like you said in your appeal, you notified me that the last T was afk, and even gave his name. I then asked the other mod that was on his opinion and he also agreed that this was a form of ghosting. I then proceeded to issue you a ban for 4 weeks as per our MOTD for ghosting.

If my decision is wrong please correct me!

I have had confirmation from ComPeter and Sir Lemoncakes that if someone is helping a staff member do their job like that, then it is not ghosting. If you received that message you should have checked to make sure he was AFK and fspec'd him to keep the round from delaying.

 

Your intentions were good and very thoughtful - so I thank you for trying to get the game going. However, Staff have access to knowing who the traitors are with our set of tools. We do not need a name. You admitted to providing a name and therefore that is borderline ghosting, regardless of intent. Please be more careful in the future and only say "The last T is Afk."

We can unban him though now right? He got the message, learned his lesson, and really, it is really a harsh punishment for something so innocent

 

Yes, lift his ban. Just be more careful, in the future.

Lock this once the ban is lifted.
