I've been working on this for a bit so I am proud to present the map secrets thread. This thread contains (a work in progress) of all of the map secrets of each map in the STTT rotation. Please contribute! There are many secrets I have yet to learn. I'll add them as they come. Due to limits on the number of images in each post. A few of the secrets will be in comments below. Spoiler: 67thway V14 Secret Knife After pressing a series of 5 buttons in the correct order, the secret knife room will open as shown in the video below. Spoiler: Community Bowling V5 Secret Knife After pressing a series of 3 buttons in the correct order and then placing a card in the vending machine, the secret knife room will open as shown in the video below. Spoiler: Community Pool Classic Secret Knife This video shows each of the 3 buttons you need to press in order to get the secret knife. Behind the crates in the corner on the bottom level. In the corner of the pool to the left when looking at the security door. In the men's bathroom stall closest to the pool. The door is the stall closest to the spawn in the women's bathroom. Spoiler: Minecraft B5 Diamond Blocks Inno Victory Condition This map includes an alternative innocent victory condition. If the innocents collect all 9 diamond blocks and place them in a furnace by the lighthouse, a diamond block will pop out which if carried to an upper floor of the lighthouse and placed in a chest, will win the innos the game. The following pictures are the different possible spawn locations of the diamonds blocks: On top of the furnace for the blocks. To the left of the furnace on the ground. Down a few steps in front of the furnace. Beneath a tree by the beach. Next to the cliff by the traitor room. On top of one of the ledges of the traitor room. By one of the breakable entrances to the bottom of the lighthouse. Behind a tree near the nether portal. On a little platform behind the traitor tester. On a cliff facing towards the traitor room. Inside of the traitor testing room. For this one you have to hit the diamond ore with your crowbar to make the diamond block appear. Inside of the underground cave behind the prior diamond block. Further inside the underground cave opening to the sea. On top of the room next to the nether portal. In front of the nether portal. Various islands in the nether. Another island in the nether. This one is by far the hardest to reach. While with some luck you can get it by a combination of discombobs and shooting, it is much more of a sure thing to strafe jump around the little room seen on the right side of the picture, climb the ladder on the back of the room, and then crouch jump across the yellow lanterns and back with the block. These are then placed in the furnace next to lighthouse. Once all nine blocks are placed a diamond block pops out of the furnace. This is placed in the chest at the top floor of the lighthouse. Innocent victory! Further Secrets Spoiler: Minecraft B5 Brick Blocks Barrier The second secret in this map is the purpose of the brick blocks in the nether. One can take the brick block on top of the chest as well as the two sand blocks (once you put them in the furnace and they turn into bricks) and places them in the path of the TNT mine cart traitor trap to stop the mine cart. Here is the brick block along with the two sand blocks. Here is where you place the brick blocks next to the lighthouse. This is what it looks like when the barrier is complete. And here is the barrier stopping the TNT minecart traitor trap. Spoiler: Minecraftcity v4 The only secret on this map is the cake room. It features homage to the map makers, a central cake, and a nether portal at the back that takes you to the opposite side of the map by the pig pen. The cake room can be opened by turning a series of torches blue in the correct order by pressing 'E' on them. The five torches in order are as follows. The first torch can be found in the sniper tower across from the ladder. The second torch can be found in the boathouse. It is on the farthest left side of the far wall when you enter through the doors. The third torch is in the basement of the big house, to the right of the TNT block, but before the ladder. The fourth can be found behind some breakable blocks at the end of the underground water tunnel closest to the pig pen and the creeper trap. The final torch is the right torch on the bookcase that eventually opens to the cake room in the big house.
Keycard can spawn in the acid pool room, or the bunkbed room Those are the two I know. USB can spawn next to the computer or near the door to the light switches.
I know some of these may be redundant for most veteran players but a lot of new players may not know about these areas and haven't been talked about yet. Spoiler: 67th Way V14 Hidden Area 1 Go to the gun shop. Inside find this door. Inside look down the range and break this panel. Drop down and turn around. Crouch and walk through the wall at the bottom left to reveal a hiding spot. Press E on the wall to play two songs and a T door to a small room hidden behind this that goes nowhere else. Spoiler: 67th Way V14 Hidden Area 2 Find this door inside the tunnel near the ladder to the T tester. Inside you will find a panel with sparks coming out of it. Press E on this and sparks will fly out and damage you if you are too close. After that hit it with your crowbar to complete the connection and this door will open. At the end of this small hallway is another teleport point to the downstairs area. Also if you crouch into the wall to the right near the door there is a small hidden room. Spoiler: Canyon Flood the map Use the pipes at the top of the highest building to reach this area. Plant C4 near these pipes to break them and flood the map slowly over the next few minutes. Slow Flooding Spoiler: Assault Secret Roof! Come to the area shown. use the stairs to come to the train tracks and make a left to get here. Jump against the fence/ledge avoiding the fence posts. Some parkour skills will be required to make this jump. Jump around the poles and land onto the next ledge until you make it across the gap. Once across walk around here and profit! Spoiler: Bank B3 Open the Vault! Come to the office upstairs that overlooks spawn. On the desk next to the computer is a keycard. Pick this up with your mag stick and take it through the elevator or the ramp downstairs until you reach the vault. Place the keycard into the terminal next to the vault. After this press and hold E on the vault door until the vault opens Again I understand this may be common knowledge to most but to those new players or those who just may not happen to know one of these I hope it will help.
Key card can spawn behind the battery holder and on top of the boxes in the room with the traitor room.
There is at least one more place the diamond block spawns, I found it today, almost impossible to get. I'll upload a picture later today's very rare spawn, it's next to where you fly out of the nether trap.
I think I was in the server when this was found. I've never seen it before, so I only wonder if it is a very rare spawn, or perhaps a T threw it there at the beginning of the round.
I believe you were, but I was in the spawn from the beginning, no T placed that block. Very rare indeed, 200+ hours and I've never seen that spawn.
Like I said, small island to the right of the nether trap, or, if you enter the nether, turn around, far right corner.
You are talking about the small island that is around the fences and takes 2 minecarts to get onto? Also it seems you forgot this location in your original post. Spoiler: Additional Block location for diamond
Okay, I tested this extensively in single player and over the course of about 50 rounds of map restarts I could not get a diamond ore block to spawn a single time. I believe this is not a valid location for these blocks to spawn and have found another location that seems to not be included in the original post yet. Spoiler: Diamond spawn location 2
Maybe. But I doubt it. 2000 rounds of vanilla and I just saw it today. I spawned and immediately noticed the block there, no chance it was thrown. Don't know what to tell yea mate but I wouldn't make it up. I'll do my own research when I get on later tonight.
