some people actually enjoy micspam. when you press tab, there is a mute button. if you don't want to hear micspammers, you can mute them. there's no reason this should be bannable.
if muting through the tab menu doesnt work put this into the console; gamemenucommand openplayerlistdialog that opens a small menu that has all the players in the server and allows you to actually mute them
no maybe don't micspam, I'm typically lenient on what it is but when you do it consistently over 3 rounds with 6 other people I'm gonna gag/mute kick/ban
I made a soundboard of my own voice and got gagged for it even though I only used it for when it was needed (Like the suit zoom binds) Also copypasting my suggestion to Pacifist that I made in pms a month ago(never got answered btw)
what is the difference between mic spam (that's not earrape or anything unpleasant) and someone who just does not stop talking and has their talk key permanently on
i hate people who talk non stop a lot more than casual haha funny mic spam like i dont rdm ha h a funny mic spam but if i see a guy talk for more than 15 seconds you bet hes getting clapped
+1, I mean, you can just easily mute them in the tab menu, and sometimes, I even enjoy mic spam, seeing what random shit people release. I like this idea.
thats gonna be a yes from me dawg upvote me im so great at using arguments to get my point across im a mod
retweet. upvote. approve. agreed. i can name quite a few people who genuinely do not know how to let go of their mic button. guess they get a free pass doe
this thread: people who realize there's a mute button vs. mods who wanna use their own fancy mute button
I will often be lenient to small bits of music or the occasional quack or soundboard quip, but its too hard and arbitrary to draw a line between tinnitus and enjoyment. You can't just expect people to mute you cause you want to play music, the servers are there for everyone's enjoyment App. Imma hesitantly put down a map gag tho
Honestly, I agree with you. It's that the way the rules are right now there's zero written leniency on micspam. From a moderators perspective that can't use discretion, you should be gagging someone instantly if they play a clip of sound in their mic. All I'm asking for (like i wrote in my above post) is that it would be handled the same way as any other chat activity. People use binds to post copypastas and funny epic memes in chat all the time. This has the potential to cover up lots of round related information too, but is only punishable when done in excessive amounts. Why should voice "micspam" be any different?
I feel it's that it's damn hard to make a chat message painful that's the distinction, otherwise, yes
