I was just on Vanilla where I witnessed a situation involving @Elvis and @Bruno. Elvis was a Traitor, and called a valid kos on Bruno who was an innocent. Elvis was then killed and his body identified. A short while later, someone follows Elvis' kos and kills Bruno. Bruno stated that this was RDM as Elvis' body had already been identified as a traitor. @Lordyhgm was on the server at the time and backed up Bruno also claiming that this would be rdm due to the 5 second grace period rule. Spoiler: Huge Image I disagree with both of their views on this. There is nothing in the rules to link KOSes and the 5 second grace period. I also remember a long time ago there was a QNA thread somewhere. Falcor was a Lead at the time and she clarified that a KOS called by a traitor is still valid even after their death. Maybe I am wrong and the rules have been changed since. I would just like some clarification here, as I have never heard this rule before today. Thank you.
This was already explained in pm’s with Lordy. She got confused. Nothing was done to the guy reported by Bruno.
I would like to take this moment to reaffirm, that KOSes called by traitors are in fact valid even after their death. In the same way you can't fully call off an accidental KOS, we can't expect every played to be fully aware of chat/voice at all times. It can easily be missed that a KOS was called off, or in this case, that it was called by a Traitor.
