Two of the most badass men in fiction with a different approach to dispatching their enemies. Whereas Bond is all about stealth and subterfuge, Doomguy is all "RIP AND TEAR" as we all know. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=151044612&searchtext=james+bond I'd seen an older model posted here before with people saying it was ugly, so I found what I believe to be the one from Goldeneye Source. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1168176632&searchtext=doomguy Kinda hard to believe we have Master Chief but not this man-mountain. Still, more space marines are always welcome, and I feel like this would be a good addition to our "superhero/pop culture" lineup of playermodels. James Bond could probably be Supporter, with Doomguy being VIP. PS: I will likely be adding some in-game screenshots I have taken when I am able.
Here's a pic of the brawny brute himself. I think at this point it's safe to say I don't think I could get Bond to work, so he might have to be cut out.
+1 to Doom guy, and +0 to Bond. I like DoomGuy, and the model looks good, as well as the textures, etc., and it does not look like it should be an issue with hitboxes or whatever, and the like, willing that it is ok, and it's not terrible, and overall it's DoomGuy. Now on the other hand, for Bond, I am eh about it because it reminds me a lot of G-Man, and the textures are meh, at least to me, also I personally just don't like it, but I am not against it, just not for me.
I think I can probably just cut out Bond entirely, I think he'd be a great fit if the model would work. The other one being suggested was criticized as being ugly so I attempted to find the one from GES
I thought by the Doom Guy you referring to the Doomslayer from the reboot of DOOM but this works too. +1
Well I was thinking the Praetor armor might have too many tris and the hitboxes would be weird because of the armor. I thought the classic doomguy would work better with the lineup of current playermodels.
I actually specifically picked out Doomguy because his model was humanoid enough and not like a lot of the other ones that would have wonky hitboxes. The only problems I could see would be the shoulders and maybe the sides of the helmet. As I recall we actually have gone through some hitbox changes on some of the models, Master Chief in particular had problems with his helmet. I think if I could see SeriousGMOD's hitbox that they use or whatever applied to this model it would show problem spots if there were any, which could be fixed up. I'm sure they wouldn't just drop it into the servers without some looking over and testing so they would probably fix any hitbox issues.
