I was playing TTT with a friend and he told me in teamspeak that he has to go AFK and that I could kill him if I wanted since he was going to be gone for awhile. So after a few rounds I ended up crowbarring him and then killing myself afterwards and @Kitteh opens a report on me asking why, so I explain the situation and then @STONEY slays me for it. (My friend never opened a report against me but I was slain anyway)

I suggest that you change the rule:
    • If you allow someone to kill you, its still considered RDM
Because if player1 gives player2 permission to kill them, player2 should not get slain for it especially when player1 didn't open a report against them in the first place.

My friends and I won't be playing on any seriousgmod servers anymore but if you want more potential donors in the future you should maybe find better moderators and change some redundant rules so you have a server that people can have fun playing.

for the most obvious reasons I'm against this
for one this can cause rdm trains and just disrupts the flow of gameplay

I'm sure this was suggested before and will be shot down for the same reasons (if a thread similar to this one was made.)

It sounds like we found a good moderator. The rule is: "If you allow someone to kill you, its still considered RDM". Someone allowed you to kill them, so it was treated as RDM. A moderator's job is to enforce the rules, the rules were enforced. The moderator's job is NOT to listen to what you say and then change the rules to suit how YOU want to play, that would be confusing if the rules changed at any moment just because a player wanted them to.

Redundant means it doesn't need to be stated, or it's restated, I guess I agree that it shouldn't have to be stated that you can't just kill someone for no reason because you are friends with them, but it has to be because some really odd people think that a gamemode that focuses on rules would be more fun to randomly kill their friends on. That's why we have rules that sometimes seem redundant.

    Where's the steam workshop link?

Quick question. Why would you make a forum account and go through the annoying process of making a suggestion when you aren't gonna play on our servers any more?

If you wanted to kill your AFK friend, why not wait in overtime?
The point of the game is for Innocents to kill traitors or survive or for traitors to eliminate all the innocents.
If you want to kill each other for fun, I suggest playing a deathmatch game or server.

This rule won't be changed for multiple reasons such as creating RDM chains which leads to unnecessary karma loss and a group of friends having a deathmatch which is not part of the gamemode.
