You have to be a staff member to change your title. After resigning it remains a custom title.

 

Simply put at this very moment, you can't

That line you see under names are personal titles and you only get the ability to set one when you have a staff role (mod or above, trials aren't staff)

Once you have set a personal title you get to keep it even when you aren't staff anymore BUT you can't edit it so you are stuck with whatever you set it to
