I feel that many people especially admins need to know which side the N word is on, is it bannable or not. I feel that the server should make up its mind and globalize it, because some people say it and nothing happens, then other people say it and they get crucified by the admins. This needs to be a global knowledge and needs to be enforced equally, either its bad or okay to say, i'm sick of this in between shit. This really needs to be adressed and globalized to the server especially to admins so its treated fairly. I think it should also be mentioned in the motd so people can see it. Thanks for reading this post, and hopefully this can be adressed.
Been done before.. please just search or ask a staff member. Getting tired of this issue reemerging as if it has never been covered before. https://www.seriousgmod.com/threads/nigga-to-say-or-not-to-say.21957/ The problem with your logic is that it's only a problem or not a problem in certain contexts. So the staff will not just outright ban it or outright allow it. If you are using it to belittle someone for their race, it is not allowed. If you aren't using it to harass people, most people won't give a shit. Pretty much as soon as this word becomes a problem, the player using it has to stop. Honestly this can be applied to any word. Nobody is going to outright ban the word idiot; but if I am constantly harassing and messaging someone that they are an idiot or stupid, it is going to be a problem. -1 for this suggestion
What @Silent Rebel said generally addresses exactly why the 'Nigga' variant of the word will never be outright banned, as its meaning differs entirely based on context. However, if you had meant the word itself, that word is never allowed as it has no meaning when said to somebody other than to be a derogatory racist remark which in turn falls under Harassment. This meaning if you are warned for using this word, it is justified and that Staff Member is acting appropriately. With both mine and @Silent Rebel 's statements said, this Suggestion will be denied as it has been addressed and given an answer before in the Q&A linked above.
