I could see this potentially being used to rdm people. We would have to set the rules for this item to match that of the traitor tester's rules. People might try to tell others "Let me check your weapons. Holster your gun. If you move, you die. If you pull out a weapon, you die." I know this would be a worst case scenario and would more than likely not happen, but I tend to look at things as "How would someone abuse this if their sole purpose on the server was to cause trouble?" As of now, I am undecided.
Everyone will be scanning me lol. Well atleast it'll seems fun... since if people move it gets canceled.
To me this is near useless on this server. You scan the person and has say mp7 and jihad what then? Like Chronos said you can't kill them for it. The only thing that this will cause is more rdm. I just imagine this situation with that item: Meanwhile Potato stands still with a hidden Mp7. * Detective scans potato* -Detective: Potato has Mp7. *Everyone with mic says KOS potato* *Potato dies* I can see a mod replying right now, " But Potato, you won't kill the scanned person unless weapon is out" . Well it may be so but what do you think will happen with no mods on? +1 For the idea of a scanner. -1 Item scanner. +1 Portable Innocent/Traitor scanner (1 use).
What about a players that hide t weapons to end of the roud i almost always have t weapon hidden to avoid rdm on me or other players
