Allright so I was just in a game with the mod James something, and I was killed by cheerio after we got into a gun fight (he was a t) and afterwords he claimed rdm on me, even tho he shot me first, so it wasnt rdm. I had asked james after the round ended to warn him not to claim false rdm's as that can get ME in trouble with the server for something I did not even do.. as he was the t he shouldnt have even identified my body to say that. and james replied that he could not do it Is there a way we can include a specification in the rules "Not to claim false RDM's if your a t or otherwise" ?
People don't always know if they've commited a T act. You aren't in any trouble with the server for being reported. Mods know what is and isnt rdm.
First off, sadly not many of our players know what Traitorous Acts are. They will report anybody and everybody because in their eyes they did nothing wrong. So I wouldn't worry about getting reported for RDM..... All of our staff members know what to give out punishment for, and what not to give out punishment for. Going along with that, if you ever feel like you are punished incorrectly, bring it up with the staff member online at the time. We are more than happy to co-operate.
To add to what the previous posted have told you, whenever a player files an RDM report, there is a disclaimer that "False reports will get you banned." If a player is intentionally filing false reports-it's not hard to figure out when they're malicious- they will be warned and punished if they continue.
That usually happen with me too, don't know if they're new to TTT or just trolling but I'm sure the staff knows what's going on so I wouldn't worry about it!
What Mango said; the moderators will take notice of those reports and take appropriate action. Just ensure to keep by the rules and explain your actions and you should be good!
Why is there a mention of cheerios? He is an ignorant player in comparison and relatively new. So his ignorance is from not knowing what rdm is. Don't worry. Either he will learn or he will leave.
