Let me explain the situation. Alright so the round just starts and I'm a Traitor. So I spawn on top of the tower with someone (I forgot his name) and he goes, "Hey Chik guess what?" and he just jumps off the tower. So I say in chat "Wow {so and so} just jumped off the tower and killed himself." So I turn around and I see "tsu{CoEW} and he just randomly starts shooting me. So of course I make a report about him RDMing me and I message me friend who's also in the game and all I say is (My EXACT words) "Chikman: YO TSU RDMED ME WTF" and he says something to tsu and he doesn't say anything. The rounds over and I'm like tsu why did you RDM me? Look at your reports man. He doesn't even slay himself for next round and all of a sudden my screen says "Banned for 29 days: Ghosting" I didn't really ghost all I did was tell my friend that the MOD RDMed me. I would think that the Moderator would be the last person to RDM someone. He didn't even talk to me before I got banned he just banned me right away. I wasen't using any 3rd party to give someone an unfair advantage over the game. I just said that the Moderator killed me. If I am wrong and I did ghost well I am sorry cause I was un aware that doing what I did was ghosting. Thank you.​

From what you're saying, by telling your friend (who I'm assuming was alive) that you were RDMd you are giving him plenty of information about the game that he would not otherwise have received. You're basically stating that Tsu was an innocent to him, so he now knows not to kill him. Because you are giving your friend information about the game that he otherwise would not have figured out, it is considered ghosting.

 

I guess now that you say that I guess I was ghosting a little bit. I had no clue that by just saying that it was ghosting and for me to get banned for a month. I just think that that isn't right. I've also heard that tsu likes to RDM a lot so I just got upset. I'm sorry for ghosting I truly didn't mean to ghost cause like I said I didn't think I was. I really would like to be unbanned. I finally found a decent server to play on and enjoy to make friends and just generally have a good time. I was just about to get VIP+ cause I really do enjoy playing on here and I like how things are run.

You were banned for Ghosting for sending the following to your friend via PM:

TSU FUCKING RDMED ME
Chikman: FUCKING STUPID MOD
Chikman: HES INO
Chikman: THIS GUY JUMPED OFF THE TOWER AND HE RANDOMLY SHOT

At this point, both me and your friend were still alive. So by sending these pms, you gave away several pieces of information that your friend otherwise would not have had:

a) That a guy had jumped off the tower and died (his body had not been IDed yet)
b) That I was the one that had shot you
c) That I was innocent

To be fair, I did RDM you, since from my perspective (I was on the ladder behind you both) it looked like you had pushed him off. Both your friend Synester (deadlysoldier on the forums) and kynwall can attest that I did slay myself the following round.

If an admin+ feels like the above PMs do not constitute ghosting, I will apologize and remove the ban.

Also, deadly, my "RDM" of you (just you, not you and "some other people") happened when there was a lot of shooting, I observed you shotgunning another player in the face, so I shot you. You then told me that the other player had a KOS on them. However, if you are shooting another player, regardless of if they turn out to be inno or T or kosed, you are KOSable, therefore it was not RDM.

 

If jake was innocent and you killed him, or if you shoot at an innocent, it's traitorous and you can be killed for it; not RDM.

I think that a lot of what this is is new players that don't fully understand our rules.

 

To clarify on this, I shot deadly (Synester) half a second after he shot Jake (I did not hear any KOS, but there were a lot of people talking at once), before anyone IDed his body. Still, since you had just shot another player in front of me, I was within my rights to shoot you dead.

 

I was wrong. You did RDM me and I did get upset and tell my friend that a Moderator RDMd me. I was unaware that by saying that, that I would get banned. I apologize.

Getting back on the topic of Chikman's ban appeal, after having talked to him through forum messages, I'm willing to believe his actions were taken without knowing that what he did consisted of ghosting.

I'm willing to remove his ban with an Admin+'s approval.

 

I've reviewed this case and will provide my blessing for @Tsu to remove Chikman's ban.
@Chikman Thank you for being patient, and I assure you this is a rare case that we let major bans go.
I ask that you be more careful in the future and handle all situations(regardless if including staff or not) with a level mindset.
