I am not going to adress the elephant in the room (or however you phrase it), nor was I a victim of this, just wanted to ask something based on what happened today. So are you allowed to kos for following reason: 5 people are alive, 1 person is missing. 2 innocents are proven, 1 innocent isnt proven, 1 guy is a traitor and the last guy is a detective. The not proven inno is allowed to call kos on the traitor if he finds evidence that the missing person is dead. So if he sees a dead body, but he cant reach to id it, can he kos the traitor? Because I was thinking of how when you kill someone who killed people you get their list and they are all confirmed dead, but you have yet to id their bodies. So in today's instance, the unided body was in fact the 6th guy who went missing, but what if there is a possibility that I, a traitor, killed an inno and dropped his body into the pit, later when I died he was confirmed dead, but his unided body is still unreachable in the pit. Can you kos for that reason?
To my knowledge it should be okay as in the past similar instances have happened but instead of a body being found you can use the detectives radar to work out how many are missing (i know you cant work out how they are but its simple math at that point)
It really depends on the situation. Complicated scenarios like this won't ever have the exact same outcome or reasoning. It's up to the staff member(s) on at the time to look at the evidence and make an educated decision. Like you mentioned, the problem with the unIDed body is that if a traitor that killed an unIDed is killed and identified, that person they killed will be confirmed dead, but their body will still be unIDed. However, there's also the possibility that the person who called the KOS witnessed the person dying by jumping into the pit. This wouldn't be applicable in every situation, but it's still important to remember. tl;dr - extremely situational, depends on many different things
I think it is actually possible that the detective used radar and said that only 5 people are alive, which resulted in a valid kos. But I also have another question... Don't disguised people stay hidden under the radar as well, or was it just Dazza who lied about that so the detective wouldnt kill him when he was the last traitor xd
The rule of the land with 100% certainty is if there's a chance of any other outcome, it's not 100% certainty. Traitors using traitor equipment to deceive innocents into murdering each other is the exception to this.
In your specific situation I would say you would not be allowed to call a kos. 1) There is a detective, two people you know are proven, and then you plus two others. 2) The two others are not proven, along with yourself. 3) You see an unided body. Problem is that this body may already be confirmed, but hasn't been ided just yet. You would need to ID the body first before calling a kos. Unless of course the detective used a radar to confirm that you two were the only ones left.
