I got a few ideas lol minecraft is my shit. Factions with a server shop aswell as the auction plugin would be sick (and maybe donator-owned player shops? I staffed on a server with that, giving players the chance to sell items to players while off is cool). Minigames are always good too, having spleef, mob arena, kit pvp for some kind of server currency would be sick. I feel like factions could be the intense toxic server, and then survival has gold shovel land claim, no griefing, MCMMO - a lot more peaceful. I dislike MCMMO a lot for factions personally, it was on the first server I played and I've thought it was stupid since, having levels and skills to me is stupid for factions. I hate falling and getting a stupid level up for acrobatics or some dumb shit, it just takes me out of the game everytime. Also I'd fucking LOVE survival games that was my shit 2012 (I got very strong opinions on what good survival games is tho if you guys are actually doing tht I'll go into more detail)

As for events things like bi-weekly build contests in creative, or PVP tournaments in factions. On that factions server I mentioned earlier they had a funny event they'd do when someone donated called "the doors" where players would be let into this hallway with a lot of doors and each door with a chest behind - basically you choose your door, get locked in, and then get whatever loot (could be god loot could be dirt) and leave. The tournament thing could also be done not just for PVP but there could be a spleef competition too etc.

Anyway if it's going to be factions-based then there should be player vaults

 

don't make too many servers too quick or you will kill them all spreading the player base

So like do what jabba talked about a while back, a faction server of Jabba vs Lordy, with playervaults and a small little custom spawn with a borderless world or maybe border at 10k blocks. Maybe add some mcmmo in there, maybe some kind of voting reward system, idk just some thoughts.
