Bhop=ban?

I was bunny hopping on the server the other day under the name Speed Demon. When I came back to the server I noticed I was banned for hacking. Bhop ≠ hacking It's just timed jumps and strafing to gain velocity. It's hard to master, but a rewarding skill once it is.

While Garry's Mod is a mod of Valve's source engine, it's still different. You can't bhop in gmod unless the server variables are setup right. Our server is setup to make it impossible to bhop.

 

ok if this is indeed not hacking can you prove it and show us how if not this seem to be hacking to me

yea the server isn't setup in order for this to happen, which is why you were banned for hacking.

 

The server has taken measures against legitimate bhopping, meaning that you would have had to run a script in order to accomplish this. The ban will be extended to 16 weeks for both accounts, for hackingx2 and ban evasion.

 

I can bhop but not to the consistency and speed he displayed when I played with him on 67th way, the way he was moving around did seem like a script if you want to be real.

 

Zblock was a bhop script a while back.

 

Well that was a joke in the title. It's a server plugin for Bhopping

And if you set your FPS_max to 34.8 the timing isn't hard to get at all. Just saying. I usually Bhop in murder which is much easier and I will admit it's much more difficult in your server, but I'm not using any scripts.

EDIT: I should also mention, I have my mouse modified so the scroll wheel doesn't click so I can scroll super fast. (Not sure if you would consider that cheating, but that's what I do)
