I think when someone gets banned it shows there name becuase some mods are getting mad for people asking and some have asked me to make a thread so yea :lol:
I usually tell people one time who I banned; if they even ask. Personally, I don't know why other players should care who got banned. I know I never did before I was on the staff.
It shows the name of a person who is banned while still on the server. It doesn't show the name if a SteamID get's banned. This is because once they leave the server, the server doesn't hold record of them. At least ULX doesn't. But it does leave a message on the chat(and consequently the console) of who left and their SteamID which users could compare if they really wanted to know. But since Highwon has all users logged after one round or so, it would be possible for him to change the ulx banid function to show their username as their latest recorded one, but it may be to much hassle and to resource heavy to make it worthwhile.
