Why should you be unbanned: This was on the map ttt_bank_b3. Before the round of the rdm I got a real huge lag spike (I was a Traitor that round) and I basically couldn't play until the next round started. As the next round started it said I was a Traitor (Which was only Client-side, but I didn't know that then). So I went and got the keycard and opened the bank, where I killed nonamenic(Innocent). After that I got killed who I thought was my T buddy (Vercyv, it showed him on my Tab and had a marker above his head). I didn't recieve any report but everyone's mics were cutting off and text chat hadn't updated since my last round so I left and CAME BACK because I was sure my Gmod had glitched on me. When the round ended I got the report from nonamenic and I filled it out with the above story. After all this I started the next round as an inno without anything seeming out of place until I got banned for RDM and LEAVE, when I was still on the server.

Evidence of innocence:Unfortunately I do not have any evidence for any of the problems caused above, and I'm not sure if there are logs that show that I was online during the ban. If anyone could help that would be nice. Thank you.

Without any proof of this glitch (I've never heard of this happening before, but others may have), it'll be tough to do much about it, but we'll see if we can do anything to verify your innocence. Please be patient with us so we can both figure out this bug and see how it played a part in this case.

As a note, if you were on when she banned you, then it would show a message saying you left the server at the same time as the ban.

Chii, did you see such a message when you issued the ban?

I will say though that of all my time playing with Sprout I've never had an issue with him, and I don't think he would have deliberately RDMed and left.

 

I also highly suggest making a thread in the Bug Report section of the forums on this bug. A glitch like this could potentially cause massive RDM and if it's preventable or if we can figure out what is causing this, it would be in our best interest to prevent it from happening again.

When i was going through the report for RDM i was going to slay you and then you werent connected, im assuming by the time i saw finish reading the report to the time i went into the menu and issued the ban you must have reconnected


And Tsu I did notice something different about the ban but not as in him disconnecting, but it said (xSprout) right next to his Steam id but i didnt put to much thought into it, I thought maybe some changes were made.

 

I think that sometimes my game gets weird issues like sometimes my shift key (traitor chat) not working, or the backspace button not working, and closing (sometimes just alt tabbing out then back in will fix it, but others i need to close it, I would say that if someone who RDM'd (maybe they didnt realize it or it was based on a false KOS or some other reason, I would say that if they DCONN then give them at least one round to come back if they haven't come back byt he end of the following round then maybe do the ban. I dont see that happening with people I see alot, its usually the first timers who get mad and RDM then Dconn. I think generally people who play on the servers regularly know the rules, and especially donators wouldn't do something like that to get banned, NOT all but most probably wouldn't.

 

Yeah if you go to ban an ID and the name actually shows up, it means the player was connected. There should be a line above it saying they disconnected also, but that's easily missed. Would be appreciated if you would unban xSprout then in this case since he did come back on xD.
