I've been having an unique issue with the Serious TTT servers for the past week. Whenever I attempt to join the server, the loading bar gets stuck on 'Authenticating with Steam' and will not progress. I do not have this issue with any other Gmod server, and it is consistent with every SeriousGmod TTT server (I have not tried other gamemodes). I've attached a picture of the issue below, but I'm not sure it'll be any help. Does anyone have any idea what's going on?
First of all it would be better if you posted this in bug report I think. Anyways wait till I search up a but the problem.
How long have you waited there? Because it may take longer for you. I would allow it to continue for a few hours to make sure that it that it is actually stuck there.
Well, firstly there could be th firewall blocking that is blocking hl2.exe from accessing the internet. Since you are able to connecting to other servers this is probably not the case but is sorry trying out to did able the firewall. Also, try disabling any program that may interfere with steam like antiviruses and check the permissions steam has. There is Also the option of unistalling and forums talking gmod. And lastly there is the option deleting everything in the steam folder but DO NOT delete steam.exe and and steamapps folder. This is all I think of now.
